🎤 The session that stayed with us:

Paula Starr, CIO of Cherokee Nation, and Chris Welch, IT Product Manager for Cherokee Nation, presented "Engaging Tribal Youth in Government Through Culture and Technology." From Cherokee Syllabary Bingo and Run IT for a Day to the AISES Auntie Tech Collective and micro:bit climate action projects, they showed how technology can preserve culture, encourage civic engagement, and open STEM career pathways for the next generation of Tribal technology leaders. We are truly inspired by this work and are so thankful for the opportunity to get more involved our selves.

🙏 People we want to thank:

Herb Kraft of Prairie Knights Casino Resort, for staying long after the exhibit hall closed to talk through modernization plans, upgrades, and timelines. Your curiosity and sense of humor made it one of our favorite conversations of the week.

Joe Bartelo of Positron Access Solutions, for bringing energy and dedication to the booth all week and connecting with every visitor, whether the conversation was about healthcare, casinos, or hotels.

We came to to learn, and the community gave us plenty to think about!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth #159. Jeff Van Horne and Jill Van Horne spent the week talking with Tribal IT and operations leaders about what their networks need to support next: stronger security and control, dependable connectivity across large outdoor and multi-site footprints, and ways to modernize established facilities without automatically starting over.

Those are big conversations, which is why we didn't come alone. Thank you to Optek Solutions, Positron Access Solutions, and RUCKUS Networks for standing alongside us. Together, we can talk through the whole picture, not just one piece of it, and offer solutions that are modern yet affordable.

The best network infrastructure is often the infrastructure that goes completely unnoticed by the people using it. Once you start looking, though, you'll find access points hiding in plain sight in airports, museums, hotels, schools, restaurants, and just about everywhere in between.

We're heading to Dallas next month for 2026!

We're excited for this opportunity because every Nation, enterprise, or organization we work with is starting from a different place; different facilities/environment, different systems, different businesses and community priorities, and always different history with the technology already in the building. Which is why we have partnered with companies that will help us find specialized and affordable resolutions to your unique network environment.



But we've found the exploratory conversation has to come before the tech recommendation, and a conference is one of the few places we can actually have that conversation face to face.

Jeff Van Horne and Jill Van Horne will be at Booth #159 all week alongside Joseph Bartelo and Brian Ambrosio. We'll keep some time open Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, for shorter one-on-one conversations if you'd rather talk somewhere quieter than the show floor.
