Though COVID altered many of our company traditions this year, we were still able to hold our annual toy drive with A Kid Again - Central Ohio! Our employees raised over $3200 and were able to buy toys for 72 kids. Thanks to Brooke Rolfe who organized, shopped, and made this effort possible!!

Had a great time participating in OSU ACM - W's tech talk last night! Said HMB participant, Nathan Clark, "It was wonderful to spend some time sharing my experience with the next generation of software developers. They were very engaged in the talks and had some very thoughtful questions, which makes me very confident for the future of our industry."

This week at HMB our 3 book clubs finished reading "The Person You Mean to Be: How Good People Fight Bias" by Dolly Chugh. Over the past month we have engaged in conversation around the importance of growth mindsets, recognizing ordinary privilege, willful awareness, and simply engaging when confronting difficult issues such as racism, sexism, and inequality. Chugh offers concrete examples of how we can become “builders” in our lives and workplaces and work towards becoming the good people we mean to be! Highly recommend this book for a company book club 📚

We absolutely loved having HMB Kids’ Hour last Wednesday! Over the lunch hour we met other HMB “littles”, explored the zoo, and shared about our favorite stuffed animals. A big thanks to Michelle Leininger for making it possible!
