This week only — upgrade your PC's RAM AND swap in an SSD as a bundle and save $15 off the combo when combined with service. We install it, transfer your data, and have your machine back to you in no time.

A 3-minute boot becomes a 10-second boot. Programs open faster. Multitasking feels brand new.

If your computer feels slow, it almost never needs replacing — it needs this.

Open to walk-ins all week. October 12th through the 17th only. Repair only, not new builds.

A lot of customers don't know this.

Our iPad repairs aren't handled by me. They're handled by my sister Priscilla.

She's the steady hand on every iPad screen replacement, charging port repair, and battery swap that comes through the shop.

This is a family business in the actual sense — my brother runs one of our locations, my sister runs iPad repair, and I run the rest.

When you bring an iPad in, you're not getting an outsourced tech. You're getting family.

Community Computer Giveaway! 💻❤️

We’re giving back to our local community by setting up 4 free devices for 4 families or individuals who genuinely need one right now:

2 Chromebooks (great for web browsing and homework)
1 Lenovo All-in-One PC (running Linux Mint)
1 Apple iMac (running Linux Mint)

Who this is for:

These machines are running clean, lightweight operating systems so they can reliably handle schoolwork, job applications, resumes, and daily browsing. They aren’t meant for high-end gaming or video editing, and they don't carry high resale value. Please do not enter just to flip or resell them. We want these to go directly to neighbors who truly cannot afford a computer right now—whether to help a student keep up with classes or help someone job hunting.

Guidelines to Enter:

* This giveaway is open exclusively to members of two random local neighborhood groups and followers of our official page.
* If you have won one of our previous free giveaways, please sit this one out so another neighbor gets a turn. (Swipe to see two of our past winners from the neighborhood!)
* To enter, simply drop a comment below letting us know how one of these computers would help you, your child, or someone you know.

Winners will be chosen and announced next week right on this post. Thank you for being such an awesome community!

Hey everyone, Justin here from Computer Prodigies!

I wanted to share a quick update and say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our recent community giveaway. Seeing the response from our local neighborhood groups and Facebook community was awesome.

Two of our winners have already swung by the shop to pick up their devices! A big shoutout and congratulations to Luis and Debbie—we hope these computers serve you and your families well!

If you missed out this time, don't worry—we're planning to do another giveaway next week to keep giving back to the community.

Do you know someone who could really use a computer right now? Tag a friend or relative in the comments below so they can follow our page and keep an eye out for next week's post.

Thanks again for being such an incredible community. Stay tuned for details on the next drop!

Hey everyone!

We're doing another giveaway over at Computer Prodigies . We have a few extra devices at the shop that we want to pass on to folks in the community who could truly use them.

To be upfront, this is nothing crazy—we have 3 Chromebooks and 1 All-in-One desktop (loaded with Linux Mint and built-in Wi-Fi). They aren't high-end machines, but they are perfect for schoolwork, putting together a resume, finding a job, or just streaming movies at home.

This is a completely free raffle. There is absolutely no BS and no catch. We just like to give back to the community when we can. We'll be picking 4 different people to each get a device.

My only request: Please do not comment to win if you just plan on reselling them. We really want these to go to individuals or families who genuinely need a device right now.

Just a heads up, I’m only posting this in three places: the Talk of the Town Oak Lawn group, the Moms of Burbank group, and our Computer Prodigies page.

If you're interested (or know someone who is), just drop a comment below. We'll pick the 4 winners sometime early next week.

Thanks,

Justin.

BTW—If you ever have a broken device laying around, don't forget we're always here for repairs! We handle MacBooks, laptops, desktops, game consoles, and iPads my

Before you drop hundreds on a new Switch... 💸

If yours won’t charge, the fix might be simpler than you think. Loose charging ports and dead power chips happen all the time from normal wear and tear.

At Computer Prodigies, we offer professional component-level repair to fix the exact part causing the issue. We'll diagnose the power fault, swap the bad hardware, and make sure it charges safely before you take it home. Save your cash and save your game saves—stop by today!

Apple Store quoted you $1,000+ for a new MacBook?

This week only — bring it in and we’ll do the board-level repair for $25 less than our standard rate.

That includes:
• Logic board diagnostics
• Component-level repair (no full board swap)
• Free quote before any work is done

If we can’t fix it, you don’t pay.

This is the kind of repair most shops won’t touch. We do it every week. [Day–Day] only.

From our Computer Prodigies family to yours — thank you for trusting us with your technology needs all year long. We’ll be back bright and early to serve you!

You know that exact look.

Christmas dinner. Family barbecue. Random Tuesday phone call.

“Hey, you’re good with computers — my laptop is doing this weird thing where it…”

And there goes your evening.

For us, it’s literally the job. But we know every IT-adjacent family member out there is silently nodding right now.

Tag the family member who turns every gathering into a free help desk. 😆

Most people don’t know this.

The average laptop pulls in air through tiny vents to cool the processor. Over three years, the inside of that laptop ends up coated in a fine layer of dust — sometimes a quarter inch thick on the fan blades.

That dust is the #1 reason laptops get hot, get loud, and eventually shut down.

A good professional cleaning can drop temperatures by 20 degrees and add years to the life of the machine.

If yours sounds like a hair dryer, that’s why.
