We built software that helps park rangers monitor the location, health and behaviour of mammals, fish and birds. Every observation lands on a map, and image recognition analyses footage to track where animals are.

Romania didn't have its own genetic database. Now it does.

Through an EU-financed project, our team built it, together with the software around it: the laboratory information system, the analysis workflows and the secure portal. Genetic Lab was the laboratory partner. The database is in use and holds 50,000 genetic records.

Each kit has a unique identifier. That's how each person reaches their own report, and how the lab result is filed against the right order.

Imagine an app running on two platforms at the same time, with two separate databases, because a migration was started and never finished. Now imagine many customers rely on it every day.

That was the starting point of our work for Motus. Switching it off to start again wasn't an option, so the app was unified step by step: the architecture moved from a monolith to microservices, where each part can be updated without affecting the whole system.

How do you know an electrode is ready for a human nerve? You spend months trying to break it.

Our NerveRepack consortium partners bent, stretched and pulled the new implantable electrodes again and again, soaked in solutions that copy the body's chemistry, with electrical current running through them the whole time. Only after that were they considered ready for the next step: future clinical trials with people who have lost a forearm.

The goal is a prosthetic hand that moves on signals from the nerves and sends a sense of touch back. The road there is a lot of patient, careful testing by people who care more about the result being right than fast.
