Reliable IT support, secure systems, and the right technology can help your team stay productive, connected, and focused on what matters most.

Focus on your business. We'll handle the technology.

Technology plays a role in almost everything your business does. But when systems slow down, technical issues interrupt your team, or cybersecurity risks go unnoticed, technology can quickly become an obstacle instead of an advantage.

At MIS Support, we help businesses take a proactive approach to technology with reliable IT support, cybersecurity solutions, and strategic guidance tailored to their needs.

Because your team should be focused on growing your business, not troubleshooting IT problems. ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ”

Phishing attacks come in many forms, and theyโ€™re becoming increasingly difficult to recognize.

While some phishing attempts are easy to spot, others are carefully designed to look like legitimate emails, messages, or requests from people you trust.

Here are a few common types of phishing attacks:

๐ŸŽฃ Email Phishing
Fraudulent emails designed to steal sensitive information or trick users into clicking malicious links.

๐ŸŽฏ Spear Phishing
Highly targeted attacks that use personal or company information to make the message appear legitimate.

๐Ÿ‘” Whaling
Phishing attacks specifically targeting executives, business owners, and other high-level employees.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Smishing
Phishing attacks delivered through text messages or SMS.

โ˜Ž๏ธ Vishing
Scammers use phone calls or voice messages to impersonate trusted organizations and steal information.

๐Ÿค– AI-Powered Phishing
Cybercriminals are now using AI to create more convincing messages, making phishing attacks harder to detect than ever.

The best defense starts with awareness.

Think before you click. Verify before you trust.

If something feels unusual, unexpected, or too urgent, take a moment to verify the request before responding.

Stay alert. Stay protected.

One chart. 39 industries. A lot to pay attention to. ๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ”

Cyber threats arenโ€™t limited to the industries we hear about most often.

Our latest data spans 39 industries, revealing just how broad the cybersecurity landscape has become.

Healthcare leads with 16 victims, followed by Finance (11), Technology (10), Manufacturing (10), and Legal (8).

And beyond the top five? Construction, Education, Hospitality, Agriculture, Government, Real Estate, Retail, and many more are represented.

The bigger picture: cyber risk isnโ€™t an industry problem. Itโ€™s a business problem.

Understanding where threats are happening is the first step toward understanding what your organization needs to defend against.

๐Ÿซ Your schoolโ€™s Wi-Fi connects everyone. It can also connect cybercriminals. ๐Ÿ“ถ๐Ÿ”

Students, teachers, staff, guests, tablets, laptops, smart boards, security cameras...

On any given school day, hundreds of devices may be connecting to your network.

But not every device should have access to everything.

Without proper network security and segmentation, one compromised device could become an entry point to systems and data it should never be able to reach.

Schools should be asking:

๐Ÿ” Are student and staff networks separated?
๐Ÿ“ฑ Are unknown devices being identified?
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Is guest access isolated from internal systems?
๐Ÿšจ Can suspicious network activity be detected quickly?
๐Ÿ’ป Are connected devices properly secured and updated?

Your Wi-Fi password isnโ€™t your cybersecurity strategy.

The network connecting your school should also be designed to protect it.

Your IT is working. But is it ready for whatโ€™s next? ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ”

Keeping your systems running is only part of the job. Your IT should also be ready for growth, evolving cyber threats, downtime, and unexpected disruptions.

Donโ€™t just keep your business running. Keep it ready.

A student clicked the wrong link. Now what? ๐Ÿšจ

It only takes one click.

A student opens what looks like a normal link. Maybe it came through email, a shared document, a learning platform, or even a message from an account they recognize.

Then something doesnโ€™t look right.

What happens in the next few minutes matters.

The device should be isolated from the network. IT should be notified immediately. The affected account and activity should be reviewed, credentials may need to be secured, and the school should determine whether the threat went beyond that single device.

Because the real question isnโ€™t just โ€œWhat did they click?โ€

Itโ€™s:

๐Ÿ” Were credentials compromised?
๐Ÿ’ป Did anything download or execute?
๐ŸŒ Did the threat reach other systems?
๐Ÿ“‚ Was sensitive school or student data exposed?
๐Ÿšจ Can IT contain it before it spreads?

Students will click things they shouldnโ€™t. So will teachers, administrators, and the rest of us.

A strong cybersecurity strategy doesnโ€™t depend on everyone being perfect.

It makes sure one wrong click doesnโ€™t become a school-wide incident.

Are you Gen Z working in an office? Itโ€™s time to farm some aura. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ป

And yes, cybersecurity counts.

Clicking a suspicious link?
-500 aura.

Using โ€œPassword123โ€ for everything?
-1,000 aura.

Approving an MFA request you didnโ€™t initiate?
Aura deleted. ๐Ÿ’€

Using MFA, keeping your systems patched, and reporting suspicious activity?
+10,000 aura.

Cybersecurity might not make you look cooler walking into the office...

But being the employee who spots the phishing email before anyone clicks it?

Infinite aura. โ™พ๏ธ

Protect the data. Protect the business.
Cybersecurity is always a flex. ๐Ÿ”

How much technology are you paying for that nobody uses? ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ’ธ

Most businesses know exactly how many employees they have.

But do they know how many software licenses they're paying for?

Over time, technology stacks get messy. Employees leave, new tools are added, departments switch platforms, and subscriptions quietly keep renewing.

The result?

๐Ÿ’ธ Licenses assigned to former employees
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Duplicate accounts for the same user
๐Ÿ“ฆ Software nobody uses anymore
๐Ÿ”„ Multiple tools doing the same job
๐Ÿ’ณ Subscriptions that keep renewing unnoticed
๐Ÿ” Old accounts that can also become security risks

Individually, these costs may seem small. Across an entire organization, they can add up to thousands of dollars a year.

Regular IT reviews aren't just about keeping systems running. They're about making sure every tool you're paying for has a purpose, an owner, and the right level of access.

Your IT environment should support your business, not quietly drain its budget.
