🔎 The role of trauma-informed leadership in correctional reform

Christopher Siegersma has been one of the main drivers behind Malta’s reforms to tackle overcrowding and, strengthen the focus on a rehabilitative, person-centric, and health-oriented approach.

In an interview for the 15th edition of JUSTICE TRENDS, the Chief Executive Officer of Malta's Correctional Services Agency elaborated on his view of why rehabilitation needs to go beyond programmes and requires stronger governance, trained staff, better use of data, and environments that promote stability.

A segunda sessão da formação online do projeto europeu SafeBorders será dedicada à proteção e apoio às vítimas de tráfico de crianças, com foco na perspetiva da criança e na prevenção da revitimização.

Quando falamos em mentoria de jovens em processo de reinserção, a reação mais frequente não é o desinteresse. É a dúvida: "não sei se tenho perfil para isso."

Não é terapia. O mentor não substitui o acompanhamento técnico, mas complementa-o a partir de um lugar que nenhum técnico ocupa: o de alguém que está ali por escolha, não por função.
