🎬 APACTacks, our ERG for Asian and Pacific Islander employees, recently came together at Cinemalaya 2026 to support independent Filipino cinema.

Now in its 22nd year, Cinemalaya champions bold storytelling and diverse voices in Philippine film. Through its 2026 theme, “Reel Reflections,” the festival featured thought-provoking films that explore the depth and complexity of the Filipino experience.

For APACTacks, it was an opportunity to engage with Filipino stories, discover different perspectives, and celebrate the creativity shaping Philippine cinema today. By creating space for shared experiences and different viewpoints, APACTacks helps strengthen connection and belonging across Thumbtack, and reinforces what it means to be proudly Filipino. 🇵🇭

💛 How we’re supporting parents at work and at home.

At Thumbtack, our Parents ERG champions working parents and caregivers by building community, sharing resources, and helping shape a workplace where families feel empowered and supported.

They recently hosted a session that provided Thumbtackers with a supportive space to share experiences and explore practical ways to communicate and connect with their children. The conversation also explored the power of encouraging words, the value of undivided attention during everyday “magic moments,” and how thoughtful acts of support can build a child’s sense of security and confidence.

At Thumbtack, our virtual-first, not virtual-only way of working doesn’t mean missing out on meaningful connections with teammates. Our Local Communities provide Thumbtackers from the same districts or groups of islands opportunities to connect and build relationships beyond their day-to-day work.

Throughout the first half of the year, our Local Communities across Mindanao, Quezon City, Regions 1 & 2, and NCR West came together virtually to catch up, share a meal, and spend time connecting.

🇵🇭 📖 Last month, in celebration of Buwan ng Wika, Thumbtack's Women Employee Resource Group hosted a Readers’ Roundtable centered on Mga Sulat na Para Sana Sa’yo by Filipina author Vanessa Cruz-Zapanta.

Buwan ng Wika honors the Filipino language and the cultures, histories, and identities it helps carry. With copies in hand, Thumbtackers gathered virtually to share the ideas, emotions, and moments that stayed with them beyond the final page.

Making room for stories rooted in different lived experiences builds empathy, curiosity, and cultural awareness. At Thumbtack, these qualities deepen our connections and strengthen how we communicate and collaborate — helping create the trust and belonging that enable everyone to do their best work.
