We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer – Infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Linux and Unix-based systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of infrastructure projects involving AIX and Linux technologies.
* Provide daily operational support for Linux/Unix systems, including incident response, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
* Investigate and analyze incidents; prepare detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
* Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of UNIX/Linux servers and virtualization platforms.
* Assist in hardware maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
* Develop and document technical support procedures and contribute to process improvements.
* Collaborate with application vendors and internal teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
* Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in both private and public cloud environments.
* Automate routine tasks and processes using scripts and tools as needed.
* Monitor server health and performance through automated tools and manual checks.
* Communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (must be completed).
* RHEL training or certification (or in the final phase of certification).
* Solid understanding and hands-on familiarity with Unix and Linux operating systems.
* Familiarity with scripting, system monitoring, and virtualization/cloud platforms is an added advantage.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Prior work experience is not mandatory; we welcome fresh graduates or self-taught individuals with strong technical skills and a passion for infrastructure technologies.
