October's MOR and M4 update is up.

MOR can send an onboarding email when a user is created, bundle a recording search into a single download, and pull hang-up-cause sounds from the GUI. Phones that register through the proxy can use SIP TLS. It stays off until you turn it on. The Calls API can list suspected flash calls, and a device update can set up to 10 allowed addresses.

M4 can send alert emails from a template, handle SIP UPDATE on each call leg, and add your own phrase to a SIP code. An answered CDR export can show the originator rate and price in the user's currency.

A blocked account stops calls. An emergency call does not get a free pass.

Empty balance, a credit ceiling, and a daily spend limit hang it up the same way they hang up any other outbound call. The switch does not waive those checks for an emergency number.

Send it through a provider that accepts that number, and bill an emergency user who is not blocked and can pay. The original account can stay blocked. Then place one real test call. A trace skips the call limit, so the trace is not the test.

When that call fails, what do you open first: the dial plan or the user on the invoice?

A customer says forwarding to their mobile stopped. The handset agrees. Someone called the DID; Call Flow forwarded it, and the From on the outbound INVITE is the original caller.

The carrier returns a 403 and names the caller ID. The forward left the PBX. The trunk refused the number.

MOR can add Diversion or History-Info on that provider for an external forward. The header shows why the call moved. The carrier decides whether to complete the call.

Let's Encrypt stopped sending expiration emails on 2025-06-04 and deleted the addresses stored on ACME accounts. On 2027-02-10, a certificate lasts 64 days. On 2028-02-16 it lasts 45. Write both dates on a calendar.

On MOR, run the OpenSIPS check. It prints whether TLS is on and doesn't change the server. On M4, call from the origination point you set to TLS and through the termination point you set to TLS. Those two calls are the check.

The first cutover is one reseller, or one origination point. The rest of the traffic stays on the old switch.

On MOR, send SIP traffic from one reseller. On M4, turn Active on for one origination point and leave the others off.

Keep the old login so a dispute about last month still has the source rows. Store the imported CDR file with the old invoices.

Bill that month on the new tariffs before the trunk moves. There is no fixed day count.

Vendors say an SBC protects you from a DDoS attack. A softswitch does not clear a full pipe.

On 24 July 2026, VirtualGlobalPhone took a volumetric flood after an extortion demand. Traffic came from thousands of places, across the whole prefix, on every upstream. The link was full. Blackhole routing of one address left the rest of the prefix under attack.

On 15 May 2026, FibreMax's servers stayed up. Voice failed upstream of the host. The host put the volume at about 400 Gbps.

The switch can cap a SIP flood that reaches the server. It cannot drain a full link.

An ITG traceback on calls to the United States names a time, a calling number, and a dialed number. You have 24 hours.

On 27 August 2026, the FCC told nine providers to cure Robocall Mitigation Database certifications after 51 unanswered tracebacks. If the Bureau removes a certification, other providers stop accepting that company's calls, except 911.

Open Calls List on M4. Search Source and Destination. Export the customer and the trunk. Set that Origination Point to inactive. On MOR, the same row is in Last Calls.

A person sends the reply. The switch does not.

Fail2Ban can be quiet, and you still wake up to an empty prepaid wallet. Stolen SIP credentials look like a customer you already allow. The firewall has nothing to jail.

Cap the account that authenticated: credit, live cut-off, spend alerts that disable the user. Then check Last Calls for destinations you do not sell.

The Reseller Add-on splits outbound money. MOR did not bill the Reseller on inbound DID. You absorbed the provider cost or invoiced it manually.

You set the Reseller Rate. They set Owner Rate. MOR bills both on the same answered-received call. A recognized Reseller user who calls the DID pays Incoming Rate. That user's Reseller pays you the Wholesale Incoming Rate.

In Last Calls, Admin profit uses the wholesale rate. Reseller profit is the spread.
