Last week, we welcomed the Managing Directors of our subsidiaries from around the world to CAREL Headquarters for the MD Strategic Meeting.

Over three days, we discussed strategic priorities, market evolution, commercial transformation, datacenters, digital services and artificial intelligence, while sharing experiences and insights from different regions.

The meeting was an important opportunity to align on future objectives, learn from successful projects developed across the Group and strengthen collaboration between teams operating in different markets and cultural contexts.

Moments like these help us build stronger connections, share knowledge and continue growing together as a global organisation.

In recent years, supply chain disruptions have shown how essential it is for global manufacturing networks to react quickly and consistently.

In our latest blog post, Pietro Rossato, Group Chief Operations Officer at CAREL, explores why resilience depends not only on where companies manufacture, but on how they plan, coordinate and orchestrate their entire network.

The article looks at the role of integrated planning, shared visibility and aligned technologies in moving from local efficiency to global adaptability.

On 25 May 2026, we hosted a hackathon at the Knowledge Center CAREL 5. It wasn’t just a competition, but a chance to collaborate, innovate, and tackle real-world challenges together. With Artificial Intelligence at the forefront, the event marked another step forward in our journey of transformation.

Throughout the day, 90 CAREL colleagues took part, working on practical solutions and contributing real value to the organisation. The selection process ensured diverse and cross-functional teams, bringing together different skills and areas of expertise to maximise the event’s impact.

It was an opportunity to share ideas, develop new approaches and help shape the future of innovation at CAREL.

In this second part of the article, Biagio Lamanna, Head of HVAC/R Knowledge Center at CAREL, continues exploring the digitalisation of the HVAC/R market, discussing the barriers and opportunities for all stakeholders. Part 1 highlighted the role of electronic systems in equipment, local monitoring, and cloud services for remote supervision.

In this new article, he delves into critical aspects like the upcoming Data Act, which, from September 2025, ensures raw data, mainly sensor measurements, belongs to the end user. This shift aims to promote data sharing, enabling optimisation and operational improvements across the value chain.

Additionally, he discusses the servitisation business model, shifting from ownership to usage, and how machine learning, AI, and cloud technologies will drive this change.

In the agri-food industry, preserving product quality means maintaining stable and reliable conditions throughout the cold chain.

Through the precise control of temperature, humidity and gas concentration we support refrigeration and controlled-atmosphere solutions, helping preserve the appearance, freshness, texture and flavour of fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy and processed products.

From cold rooms to large refrigerated warehouses, our programmable controllers, sensors and development tools enable customised control logic, rapid system integration and continuous monitoring of storage, ripening and curing processes.

A tailored approach that helps reduce degradation, limit food waste and optimise energy consumption across the entire system.

“Well begun is half done.”

In Internal Audit, effective results start long before ex*****on and reporting. Planning is what defines priorities, focuses resources and helps ensure that audit activities support governance, risk management and continuous improvement.

In our latest article, Sofia Tanduo, Internal Auditor at CAREL, explores how the planning of internal audit activities is the cornerstone of the effectiveness of the internal control system: from defining the audit universe to applying a risk-based approach, integrating materiality analyses and monitoring previous findings over time.

A rigorous audit plan is not simply a schedule of activities. It is a dynamic governance tool that helps organisations focus on the areas of highest risk and strengthen their internal control system.
