Jan 01 2026 -The term of the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) officially begins. JSM 8th CPC Payroll Software.

The 7th Pay Commission cycle Ended on Dec 31 2025. January 1, 2026, marks a historic milestone as the term of the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) officially begins.

Actual disbursements are realistically expected in FY 2027-28 however, the legal entitlement to employee new salary and pension structure—including the accumulation of arrears—starts from Jan 01 2026. All central employees and pensioners will be entitled to arrears dating back to January 1, 2026, regardless of when the payout occurs.

The calculation of arrears—the lump sum an employee receives for the period between Jan 2026 and the date of final notification will be auto calculated by JSM Central Government Payroll Software / JSM 8th CPC Payroll Software.

The “Fitment Factor” is the multiplier that will decide the employee’s new basic pay. JSM 8th CPC Payroll Software will enable setting of the Fitment Factor as declared by the 8th CPC. JSM 8th CPC payroll Software enables calculation of revised basic of each staff based on the new Fitment factor to be declared by 8th Central Pay Commission.

Additionally, JSM 8th Central Pay Commission Payroll Software will enable allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Transport Allowance (TA) to be recalibrated automatically based on the revised basic pay.
