Most database monitoring tools tell you that something is broken. 🛑 I wanted to build an assistant that tells you how to fix it—in plain English.

I’ve just added a brand-new AI Assistant feature to SQL Planner to eliminate the manual frustration of database troubleshooting.

The Problem Without AI: When a server alert spikes or performance drops, a junior developer or IT admin has to copy the alert, dive into complex system views (DMVs), hunt down the query hash, and spend hours trying to figure out what actually went wrong.

The Solution with SQL Planner AI: The AI assistant works alongside your monitoring data. It reads the trace comments, ex*****on blocks, and system metrics to instantly give you a human-readable diagnosis and actionable next steps.

You can ask it anything in plain language, like:
👉 "What are my top wait types right now and what do they mean?"
👉 "Is there any query blocking happening at this moment?"
👉 "Which specific query is consuming the most CPU?"
👉 "How much disk space are my databases using?"

🔒 Enterprise Security First: A common question I get: Does the AI connect directly to my production SQL Server? Absolutely not.
Security and data privacy were my top priorities when coding this:
SQL Planner connects natively to your server using the strict, limited login permissions you define.

Only the safely aggregated metadata/monitored metrics are processed and sent via secure OpenAI API endpoints. Your live database remains completely locked down.
