💻♻️ Another computer saved from landfill!

I’ve just visited a customer who booked me to securely prepare their computer for donation. This one will now be refurbished and passed on to a charity where it can help someone else.

If you have an old computer you no longer need:

✅ I’ll remove the hard drive free of charge for you to keep or destroy yourself.

🔒 Or, for complete peace of mind, I offer a certified data destruction service, with a Certificate of Data Destruction provided before the computer is donated on your behalf. I can also provide a full trail showing which charity your device has gone on to help.

It’s all part of how I personally try to reduce e-waste, protect your data, and make a positive environmental impact through my work.

Could your child bypass your parental controls?

Many parents think they’ve locked everything down… until their child finds a way around it.

I’ve helped families set up secure parental controls that give parents complete oversight while still allowing children to use technology safely. One customer recently told me:

“Your setup was super effective. The children tried to ‘hack’ your setup and it seemed bulletproof.”

Every family is different, which is why I offer a personal consultation to understand your children’s ages, the devices they use, and how your family uses technology. Together we can create a setup that works for your home.

I can help you:

✅ Restrict inappropriate content and websites

✅ Set age-appropriate app and game permissions

✅ Manage screen time and device schedules

✅ Monitor activity and online safety

✅ Prevent unauthorised apps, VPNs and workarounds

✅ Secure home Wi-Fi and DNS filtering

✅ Give parents complete control from their own devices

Whether your children use iPhones, iPads, Android devices, Windows PCs, Macs or gaming consoles, I can recommend and configure the right solution for your family.

If you’d like peace of mind that your children are protected online, get in touch to book a parental controls consultation.

Today was another fantastic Tech Recycling Day at West Wickham Library. It was wonderful to see so many people dropping in with their unwanted tech and generous donations. Thank you to everyone who came along and for all the lovely kind words.

It was also a real privilege to donate a tablet, kindly given to me by one of my customers, to Bromley Mencap. A real example of donations in action.

Bromley Mencap is developing a new digital workshop to help people with a range of disabilities gain valuable digital skills. With your continued donations of tablets, laptops and computers, we can help equip their workshop with a variety of devices, giving people the opportunity to learn using different types of technology.

Afterwards, I delivered another large collection of donated equipment to the Lewisham Donation Hub, where it will be securely refurbished and passed on to people who need it most, including refugees, those experiencing homelessness, and others facing difficult circumstances who rely on technology to stay connected, access services, education and employment.

If you have any unwanted laptops, computers, tablets, phones, chargers or cables gathering dust, please don’t throw them away. Get in touch and I’ll make sure they’re securely recycled or refurbished and put back into the community where they can make a real difference.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps someone and keeps more technology out of landfill. Thank you for your continued support.

My next tech donation day will be back at West Wickham Library 25th September 11-1 thank you to Bromley Libraries for hosting me and for The Hub from Greener & Cleaner in seeing my vision.

🚨 Windows 10 users – you’ve been given a little more time.

Microsoft has quietly extended the deadline to enrol in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) programme until 27th October.

If your computer isn’t compatible with Windows 11, this gives you extra time to decide your next step while continuing to receive important security updates.

Not sure if your PC can be upgraded, or whether ESU is the right option for you? I can check your computer, explain your choices, and help you find the most cost-effective solution

Ever wondered what’s inside an iMac? 👀

This iMac had become painfully slow and was constantly showing the dreaded spinning beach ball. After diagnosing the fault, I confirmed the hard drive had failed.

Two days later, I returned to fit a fast new SSD, reinstalled macOS, and successfully recovered all of the customer’s data.

Another iMac brought back to life! 🚀💻

Give me a problem and I’ll find a solution! 💻📶

This customer was paying for two separate broadband lines – one for the house and another for their office.

The house had been upgraded to full fibre with speeds of 750Mbps, but the office was stuck on an older line delivering just 50Mbps.

With no plans for Openreach to dig up the road and install fibre to the office anytime soon, I was given a challenge:

Improve the speed AND reduce the customer’s monthly costs.

Challenge accepted! 🙌

My solution was to extend the existing mesh Wi-Fi network I’d installed around three years ago. Using outdoor wireless equipment powered via Ethernet (PoE), I was able to take the connection from the main house, utilise some existing underground trunking, and then wirelessly bridge the gap across the main driveway to reach the office.

The result?

The customer now has:

* 📶 Full Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house
* 🌳 Great coverage across the gardens
* 🏢 A high-speed connection in the office
* 💷 No need to keep paying for a second broadband line

And that office that was previously getting 50Mbps?

🚀 It’s now getting over 500Mbps!

10x the speed while reducing their monthly costs.

One very happy customer – and a super fun job to work on!

One of the things I love most about my job is that no two days are ever the same.

One minute I’m driving through the beautiful countryside of Kent and Surrey, and the next I’m in the hustle and bustle of central London.

Over the last 16 years, I’ve been lucky enough to meet so many fantastic people. Getting out and about, visiting customers, solving their tech problems, and building long-term relationships is what makes this job so rewarding.

I genuinely wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

2,000 feet. Over 200mph. Multiple loop-the-loops, barrel rolls, high Gs and even moments of zero G…

What an absolutely incredible experience! The adrenaline was unlike anything I’ve ever felt, and without a doubt it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Of course, it wouldn’t be me if it wasn’t a challenge! 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, come along to cheer me on, or simply followed and supported my fundraising adventures for CASPA Autism Online. Every message, donation and word of encouragement means so much, and together we’re helping to make a real difference.

Now… what challenge should I take on next? ✈️💙

How is everyone coping with this heat? ☀️🥵

Thankfully, my lovely customers have been looking after me while I’m out and about, keeping me hydrated with plenty of cold drinks and even the occasional ice cream or ice lolly! It really is appreciated. 😊

This Saturday, though, things get a little more hotter… I’ll be taking on my next fundraising challenge by being strapped to the top of a plane for an extreme wing walk. This time it’s the full adrenaline version, with a higher altitude, loops, rolls and plenty of opportunities to question my life choices! 😅✈️

I’m doing it all to raise money for CASPA Autism Online, a fantastic autism charity based here in Bromley that provides incredible support for autistic children, young people and their families.

If you’re able to support me with a donation, no matter how big or small, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’ll do my very best to hang on tight! 💚
