🚨 Why Replacing Developers with AI Is Going Wrong and What Smart Leaders Are Learning Instead? 🚨

For a while, the promise sounded irresistible: AI would write the code, teams would shrink and delivery would accelerate.
Reality is proving more complicated.

AI coding tools are excellent at generating code quickly. But they do not understand systems, architecture or long term trade offs. They predict patterns.

The result? Many teams are now seeing:
⚠️ Growing technical debt
⚠️ Security risks hidden in generated code
⚠️ Senior engineers spending more time reviewing AI output than building new capability

In other words, AI has not removed engineering work. It has relocated it. Time once spent writing code is now spent reviewing, debugging, securing and untangling it.

One trend that has emerged is vibe coding.Using AI to rapidly create prototypes, demos and MVPs to test ideas and impress investors.

When treated as disposable experiments, it is powerful.

Great to have joined the UK Cyber Security Seminar last week at the British Embassy in Tokyo 🇬🇧🇯🇵

It was a fantastic opportunity to hear about the latest innovations from UK companies including Actica Consulting, Athenian Tech, BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, CREST, Darktrace, Goldilock Secure, Grasswall, Kahootz, PQShield, SCI Semiconductor and The Cyber Scheme.

Simplified Solutions was selected to participate in a fintech and cyber security event last year as a UK based company. This year felt very special! We now have a local office and presence in Japan. In many ways, we have become a local company backed by British experience.

The timing could not have been better, coming alongside the strategic cyber partnership signed between the UK Prime Minister and the Japanese Prime Minister. We were already on the ground working to strengthen cyber security before the leaders made it official. I probably cannot claim they followed our lead 😊.

It was a pleasure to exchange views with teams from NTT Security Holdings, All Nippon Airways, Hitachi, Cyber Crime Control Centre, Mitsui Bussan Secure Directions, Inc. and many others.

A big thank you to Kaori Arai and the entire British Embassy, Tokyo (UK in Japan) team for the invitation and for hosting me and my local colleague warmly.

Proud to present SimpliOne AI at the Payment and Security Tech Meeting in Paris, hosted by Cisco. Our secure, agentic AI platform is designed to accelerate innovation and simplify integration for enterprises upgrading digital services and strengthening governance.

We’re already delivering strong results—whether transforming legacy banking systems with modern mobile and portal experiences, enabling ISO 20022 (MT–MX) migrations, or deploying agentic AI to streamline dispute and fraud management.

Grateful to Eric Vedel for the creative spark, and to Mastercard, TCS and Disneyland Paris for the insightful discussions. Our deep, practical expertise in payments, security, compliance and PCI positions us well within this dynamic ecosystem, and we’re excited for what comes next.
