Surveyor tip for buyers and sellers: always look up in the loft.

Spray foam insulation might seem harmless, but it can make lenders extremely cautious. It can trap moisture against the timber, increase the risk of decay, and make the roof structure harder to inspect properly.

And the thing is… it’s usually very easy to spot.

Look between the rafters and underneath the roof covering. If spray foam is present, you’ll see it immediately.

It’s officially Wisteria Hysteria time 😊

Wisteria in full bloom might be one of the most beautiful sights of spring 🌸

Originally brought to the UK as an ornamental plant, it’s loved for those dramatic purple cascades. But what many people don’t realise is just how powerful it can be.

It’s a fast climber that can grow up to 10 metres and, if left unchecked, can damage gutters, pull at brickwork, and creep into places it shouldn’t. Beautiful? Yes. Low maintenance? Not quite.

One to admire… but keep it under control. Regular pruning, proper support, and keeping it away from roofs and gutters is key.
