IT Field Technician - contract - outside of IR35

We are seeking contract junior and experienced IT Field Technicians. Multiple positions are available. The daily rate £140 - £180 depending on experience.
Own transportation, and basic tools are required. Laptop and job specific tools are provided.
The main work location is in Uxbridge however you might need to visit other data centres around London (typically Dagenham, Isle of Dogs/Poplar, Brick lane, Hayes).
You might occasionally need to take assignments outside of London as well.

Working hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 - 16:00. Occasional out-of-office hours tasks are possible.
The contract is fixed term until the 1st July 2024, but is likely to extend.

The role:
You will work in data centres with enterprise-level IT infrastructure. As part of a team, you will work on hardware deployments and decommissioning projects:
- Server/network device racking and stacking
- Data cabling and fibre cable installation and troubleshooting
- Configuring servers
- 1st line hardware support and troubleshooting with the remote technical team
- Replacing disks, RAM, CPU or complete server
- Handling spare parts and returns
- Other logistic tasks.

About you:
2+ years of work experience in infrastructure
Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows
Switching and networking basics
Fibre handling and troubleshooting
Organized
Good problem-solving
Work-based on technical documentation
Strong communication skills
Driving a license and owning a car is an advantage
Physically fit, able to lift 25kg

For junior candidates no previous experience is required. Technical background and possibly relevant qualifications and strong desire to learn and advance in IT.
