Listen along as Diogo reprints the octopus from our sealife notecard collection.
Each layer of colour is prepared and laid down separately, one pass at a time, on a die stamping press that has been running for over a hundred years. Print design at this scale is a slow craft. The press has its own rhythm, its own quirks, its own personality, and you learn it by working it. Slow ink, steady pressure, and the patience to let the design arrive the way it was drawn to.
A small glimpse of stationery printing is done at our west London factory, one notecard at a time.
The sound of the press is half the pleasure.
