A fantastic day volunteering with the West Kent Downs Countryside Trust 🌿

Huge thanks to Aidan & the SGS team for leading the session — and to all our brilliant volunteers who soaked up the peace (and mud!) of a Sunday in the woods 😉

This week we tackled invasive species, repurposed sycamore foliage to build a new dead hedge, and began preparing the ground for a resilient native planting space ahead of the next planting season.

It’s been a grounding, impactful day — and just the start of an exciting few months to come. Our October volunteering sessions are now full, but we’ll be back in November!

As SGS is part of the Pots Network, SGS is proud to celebrate and connect green initiatives like this one — bringing together gardeners and communities across the UK to make a stronger, shared impact. 🌱
