Designing for print isn't as simple as just resizing the artwork.
As part of our work with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, we've developed campaign creative across a range of formats, from digital assets and social animations through to print.
Everything still needs to feel like part of the same campaign, but each format comes with its own considerations. Something that looks great on screen won't necessarily work in quite the same way when it's printed on newspaper stock.
For this particular advert, we had to think about how the ink would behave on the paper, whether smaller white text would retain its clarity and even how much of the content printed on the other side might show through.
None of those decisions dramatically changes the creative on its own, but together they make the difference between artwork that simply looks right in the design file, and something that works properly once it's out in the real world.
