🐾 Meet Our Newest Team Member: Snoony (aka Mr Snow)! 🐾

At Cool Tech Solutions, we're excited to officially introduce our mascot and Chief Happiness Officer, Snoony, also known as Mr Snow.

Snoony is a one-year-old Samoyed whose primary responsibilities include:
✅ Greeting the team with endless enthusiasm
✅ Boosting morale with his signature smile
✅ Supervising meetings (especially when treats are involved)
✅ Making every workday a little brighter

While he may not write code, manage projects, or troubleshoot systems, Snoony plays an important role in our day-to-day work by reminding us to enjoy the journey, celebrate small wins, and bring positive energy to everything we do.

His friendly personality, fluffy appearance, and nonstop smile have quickly made him a favorite among the team, clients, and visitors alike.

🚀 The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived.

Today marks the first day of the season with strong soaring conditions for gliders launching from the Cambridge Gliding Centre, and we're excited to share that our lead developer, Bogdan Manoiu is going to attemp to take on the first major flight of his **Flight Powered by Nature** fundraising challenge.

As part of his mission to fly the equivalent distance from London to Milan(approximately 1,000 km), entirely engine-free during 2026, Bogdan is attempting his first 300 km cross-country flight today, powered solely by natural air currents.

His planned route will take him past:
📍 Newmarket Racecourse
📍 Cambridge
📍 Peterborough
📍 Donington
📍 Lakenheath
📍 Rattlesden

All in a glider with no engine, relying entirely on the energy provided by the atmosphere.

Through this challenge, Bogdan is raising funds and awareness for decarbonisation research projects supported by the ASHRAE UK Chapter, highlighting the principles of efficiency, innovation, and sustainability that are at the heart of both gliding and the built environment sector.

On this day in history 29th May 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first confirmed people to reach the summit of Mount Everest during the British Mount Everest Expedition led by John Hunt.

Their achievement wasn’t just about conquering the world’s highest peak, it was a testament to teamwork, resilience, preparation, and the courage to push beyond what once seemed impossible.
