THE PERSON BEHIND THE TITLE

You know their names. You know their roles. But how well do you really know the people behind them?

At Avita, we believe it's the people who make the difference.

So we are stepping away from job titles, projects and meetings to introduce the personalities behind our leadership team.

Three directors. Three different personalities. Same questions.

Today we will find out what Julian likes.

5 Things You Didn't Know About Julian Nimmo:

💫People at work know me as Julian/Jules, but at home I'm Jules/dad.

💫My family would say I'm the one to come to for money.

💫My perfect Sunday involves child-free time with Lucy.

💫One thing you'll never see me without is my smartwatch.

💫If you really knew me, you'd know I have a degree in Computer Science and Spanish and play the guitar.

From BBS to Avita Group — Part 1 🎬

Every company has a story, and we are taking you back to where ours began!

We sat down with our Managing Director, Gary Duckman, to talk about Avita’s journey, the thinking behind the rebrand, and the key moments that have shaped the business.

Founded in 1991 as Beckenham Business Systems (BBS), the business rebranded to Avita in 2016. That same year, Elite Installations joined the business, expanding our expertise and services. Then, in 2018, Systemax joined, helping bring Avita Group to life. 🎉

Fast forward to today, and we are celebrating 10 years of Avita Group, backed by 35+ years of expertise — a milestone made possible by our incredible team, loyal clients and trusted partners.

It was lovely to hear Gary share the story and the decisions that helped shape our future.

👀 This is Part 1 of our conversation with Gary. Watch the reel to hear the story straight from him, and stay tuned for more!

Happy Monday! 👋

We are kicking off the week with a sneak peek at some of the latest projects our AV team is putting the finishing touches on.

On Friday, our Marketing Team visited the site to see the progress for ourselves, and we are excited to share a few snippets with you!

Here’s a look at one of the meeting rooms our team has been working on. 👀

Swipe to see how it looked on our first visit and how much has changed since then!

More project updates coming soon.

🌧️ Rain outside, incredible views inside! ✨

Happy Friday! Our Audio Visual team really does have the best office views (as usual!).

We popped in to check on the progress of the project, and wow… it’s looking fantastic! 🤩

We’ll be back soon with pictures of the work in progress, but for now, we thought we’d let you enjoy a little glimpse of the gorgeous view from the office.

Not a bad place to work, is it? 😉

Friday!

💫People at work know me as Richard (or maybe a few other choice names!), but at home I'm Dad.

💫My family would say I'm grumpy but generous.

💫My perfect Sunday involves relaxing and a roast dinner.

💫One thing you'll never see me without is my phone.

💫If you really knew me, you'd know how much sugar I like in my tea.

10 years of Avita Group 🥂

On 1 October, we got together to celebrate a milestone that means a lot to us — 10 years of Avita Group.

It was a lovely evening to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together as a team and reflect on how far we have come over the years.

10 years of projects, challenges, new faces, trusted relationships, plenty of hard work and, of course, lots of memories along the way.

What started 10 years ago has grown into a team and a business we’re incredibly proud of, backed by 35+ years of expertise.

Milestones like this are never about just one person. They are about the people who have been part of the journey — our team, clients, partners, collaborators and everyone who has supported Avita along the way.

Here are a few moments from a brilliant evening of celebrating, catching up and looking back at how far we have come.

The photos might not be professional shots, but the reactions, laughs and moments we captured are real — and that’s what makes them special.

10 years down. And we are only getting started. 🥂

Good work is in the details you might not even notice.

When working in your home or workplace, even something as simple as covering a smoke alarm to protect it from dust makes a difference.

Because it’s not just about getting the job done. It’s about respecting your space and taking care of the little things along the way.

That’s the Avita way.

Happy Monday from Avita! 👋

We are starting the week by introducing you to Oliver, our IT apprentice! 👨‍💻

Oliver’s keen to learn, get stuck in and make the most of every opportunity. Working alongside Jack, he is already showing great initiative and building his IT skills.

We caught him in the middle of his coursework, studying hard and taking notes. Always good to see someone putting the effort in and wanting to learn more!

Keep up the good work, Oliver. We’re looking forward to seeing you progress! 👏
