**I’VE BASICALLY USED MY LIFE FORCE TO BUILD A SMALL ARMY OF AI GREMLINS. 😈⚙️**

Anyone who knows me knows I’ve been putting a ridiculous amount of time, energy and probably a little too much of myself into Tech Gremlin lately.

I know a few people have been worried about me, and I genuinely appreciate that. ❤️

But there has been a reason for the madness...

I’ve been building something pretty magical behind the scenes.

# # 😈 THE TECH GREMLIN SUPPORT ARMY 😈

So **TECH GREMLIN WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED TODAY** while I train the new cadets and put them through Gremlin Boot Camp.

Meet the crew:

And no, they’re not going to be six boring corporate robots saying:

“Your enquiry is important to us.” 😂

They’ll all have their own little personalities, inspired by **yours truly... me.** 😎

So expect a bit of humour, a bit of cheek and some controlled Gremlin chaos.

The clever part is what happens behind the scenes.

They’ll all work alongside my **Tech Gremlin CRM**, meaning they’ll be able to help with things like:

**Job IDs • repair updates • latest job notes • diagnostics • testing • parts ordered • parts arrival times • collection status • customer messages**

So if you ask:

**“Has my part arrived?”**
**“What stage is my repair at?”**
**“Has Paul tested it yet?”**
**“Is my computer ready?”**

…the Gremlin should be able to find the correct job, fetch the latest information and get you an answer much faster.

And if you send me an important update about your repair, that information can be linked back to the correct job too.

Less stuff relying on my already overloaded brain. 😂

⚠️ I ONLY FIX COMPUTERS, LAPTOPS AND MACS ⚠️

I DO NOT FIX PHONES, TABLETS, GAMES CONSOLES, CCTV CAMERAS, DVR SYSTEMS, TVs, TOASTERS, KETTLES, MICROWAVES, AIR FRYERS—or any other random electrical contraption with a plug, screen, flashing light or mysterious collection of wires. 😂

Diagnosing equipment outside my specialist field takes far too much time, especially if I then discover I can’t repair it. That’s valuable working time lost, and I cannot keep doing that while trying to run a successful business.

I will continue supporting my customers in the area I know best, where I can use my knowledge and experience to their full potential. This allows me to work efficiently and provide the most cost-effective service for both my customers and my business.

So, just to make it absolutely clear:

Quick note for anyone using—or planning to use—my technical support services.

I’ve recently had a few comments from people who have spoken to my AI receptionist, Molly, and thought it might be a scam.

I can understand it. AI is still fairly new, and when you look at my reviews and see 100% positive feedback, it probably does look suspiciously good. Sadly, no Nigerian prince has left me those reviews. 😄

Molly will only ask for basic details such as your name, contact number, device and a brief description of the problem. She will never ask for bank details, passwords, security codes or anything that could be used to commit fraud.

So, if Molly asks for your name, please don’t panic and assume she’s planning an identity heist. She’s simply trying to help me understand who needs support and what the problem is.

If you’re unable to provide your name or basic contact details, I’m naturally going to struggle to help you. The more information you can give, the quicker and more efficiently I can respond—with less stress and fewer phone-tag gymnastics for everyone involved.

I’m not using AI to replace myself. I’m teaching it to amplify me—my knowledge, experience, humour and the way I help people.

That means you get more Tech Gremlin, faster replies and a smoother service, while I can spend more time focusing on the actual repairs instead of trying to answer five things at once with a screwdriver in my mouth.

Also, a quick word to a few personal friends: please don’t abuse my receptionist. Molly may be artificial, but the business, the workload and the stress behind it are very real. Any further abuse towards her will result in being blocked.

She might be AI, but she’s part of the Tech Gremlin team—and we don’t tolerate people verbally attacking the team because they’re having a bad day or lost an argument with a robot.

The AI is here to help—not rob you, steal your identity or awaken the ancient tech demons. 😎🤖

🚨 EMERGENCY LAPTOP RESCUE! 🚨💧

The girlfriend of a previous customer rang me today in a proper distraught state after accidentally dropping water onto her laptop.

I told her the first thing to do was disconnect the battery — and she quickly brought it round to Tech Gremlin HQ for some urgent… erm… medical analysis. 😂

I’ve removed the back cover, hidden screws and rubber strips, then disconnected the battery and held the power button down to help discharge any remaining power from the system.

Thankfully, I can’t see any obvious signs of water still inside the laptop, but liquid damage can be sneaky. I’m going to let it dry properly while I nip out, then I’ll carry on with the investigation.

Next steps may involve removing more components, carefully drying everything out and checking for any signs of corrosion or damage. Hopefully, this laptop can be saved! 🤞

The good news is that it was only water — no tea, coffee, juice or anything sticky trying to finish the job completely. 😅

So if anyone has any spare prayers, positive vibes or ancient magic of some sort, please send them this laptop’s way. The ancient spirits of technology are being summoned as we speak. 🙏✨

🔧 **FROM LONDON TO ACCRINGTON – PART 2: THE GREMLINS HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE! 😂**

Remember the huge classic Toshiba Satellite P500 that travelled all the way from London to Tech Gremlin for a second chance?

Well… now I’ve got properly inside it, things have got a little more interesting. 👀

What originally looked like loose hinges and an ageing screen surround has turned into a much deeper restoration job.

Once stripped down, I found **damage around several of the hinge mounting points**, along with what appears to be evidence of **previous repair work and adhesive around some of the mounts**.

The bottom casing is also cracked near the RAM compartment, and even the **Tab key appears to have been glued back on at some point**.

Basically… this old Toshiba has definitely lived a life. 😂

One thing that surprised me was how clean the cooling fans already were. That doesn't prove anything by itself, but combined with some of the other findings, it certainly suggests the machine may have been opened or worked on previously.

But this is exactly why I don't like just throwing old technology away.

You investigate it properly. 🔍
You work out what's salvageable.
You find sensible ways around the problems.
And then you start bringing it back to life.

There has already been one nice little victory too. 😎

The original wireless setup was limited to older **2.4GHz Wi-Fi**, so I've fitted and tested a compatible **5GHz Wi-Fi card** — and it's working perfectly.

So this ageing beast can now connect properly to modern dual-band routers. 💪📶

I'm currently working through the hinge and casing options, along with plans for an SSD, fresh Windows installation, battery, full clean and testing of that lovely old Blu-ray drive.

This isn't going to be a quick “swap a part and send it home” repair.

It's becoming a **proper restoration**.

And considering nobody around London wanted to take it on…

It somehow feels very fitting that this old Toshiba ended up here in Accrington. 😂💚

🤖💚 A little something I’ve been working on behind the scenes…

I’m actually pretty excited about this one.

I’ve been building more AI into Tech Gremlin — not to replace the personal service, but to make it faster, easier and more useful for my loyal customers.

The idea is that you’ll be able to message on WhatsApp, or ring Molly, my AI voice agent, and ask things like:

“Where’s my job up to?”
“Has the part been ordered?”
“What are we waiting for?”
“What’s been done so far?”

…and get a useful answer without having to wait for me to escape from underneath a laptop first. 😂🔧

I’ve been working towards this for quite a while, connecting everything properly behind the scenes so the AI can actually understand jobs, progress, notes and parts orders rather than just giving generic replies.

It’s good for customers because it means quicker responses and better support, and it’s good for me because it takes some of the pressure off constantly juggling repairs, enquiries, messages, phone calls, parts and general Tech Gremlin chaos. 😅

That means I can spend more time doing what I’m actually here for — fixing your tech properly. 💚

Still plenty being built and tested, but I’m genuinely excited about where this is heading.

🏆 Well… it’s official. Tech Gremlin has an Employee of the Month. 🤖

And somehow, it’s the AI receptionist.

I’m also feeling slightly smug about the fact that I’ve managed to bring AI into the business without actually sacking anyone…

Mostly because there was nobody to sack in the first place. 😂

In the last 30 days Molly has handled 91 calls, with 91 marked successful, and helped create 48 jobs in the Tech Gremlin CRM.

She’s also dealt with a few interesting callers — including one who apparently thought ringing a computer repair business to ask about BJs was a sensible use of everyone’s time. 😂

No holidays, no tea breaks and no pay rise requests yet…

Meanwhile, I’m still trying to keep up with all the jobs flying in. 😂

📦 FROM LONDON TO TECH GREMLIN IN ACCRINGTON! 💚♻️

This classic Toshiba Satellite P500 has travelled all the way from London after its owner couldn’t find a repair shop around his area willing to refurbish it.

He’s been following my work on Facebook, was impressed with what he’d seen, and decided to trust Tech Gremlin with a machine that holds real sentimental value to him. Rather than see it thrown away and sent to landfill, he wanted to give it another chance — and that’s exactly what I’m here to investigate. 🔧✨

This was a serious machine in its day:

💻 Huge 18.4-inch screen
⚡ First-generation Intel Core i7 processor
💿 Built-in Blu-ray drive
🔊 Harman Kardon speakers
🛠️ A proper high-end multimedia laptop from its era

It has a few age-related issues, including loose hinges and parts of the screen surround peeling away, but I’ll be carefully working through everything and addressing each problem as I go.

We live in a throwaway society these days, where replacing something is often easier than finding somebody willing to repair it. But restoring and reusing older technology preserves sentimental machines, reduces electronic waste and keeps perfectly usable equipment away from landfill. ♻️

While the big cities are saying “throw it away,” it’s been sent up north to Accrington — a town known for finding practical and innovative ways to keep things going. 😎👌

Desktop PC upgrade sorted.

A Ryzen 3400G rig came in for a new CPU to boost the son's gaming PC, but the A320 board needed a compatibility check first.

Turned out to be a BIOS update plus the right parts.

✅ Updated BIOS to 2026 version
✅ Fitted Ryzen 5600X and new cooler
✅ Upgraded to 32GB DDR4
✅ Added 2TB Crucial SSD
✅ Cleaned the case

The new heatsink just clears the glass side — watch those screws.

Back up and ready for mods.
