Why is the Stromtank LED blue sometimes and green at other times?

The LED color tells you how the Stromtank is currently powering your audio system. When the LED is blue, the Stromtank is connected to the mains. Instead of simply passing the incoming power through, it actively stabilizes the supply using its integrated battery technology. This allows it to compensate for fluctuations in real time and provide your system with clean, precisely regulated power for improved performance.

When the LED turns green, the Stromtank switches to pure battery operation. In this mode, your audio system is completely isolated from the mains, eliminating the influence of electrical noise and interference. Depending on the Stromtank model and your system's power consumption, battery operation typically lasts between four and eight hours before the unit automatically returns to blue mode to recharge.
Both operating modes deliver a significant improvement over a direct mains connection. Blue mode offers highly stable, conditioned power, while green mode unlocks the Stromtank's full potential by powering your system entirely from its internal batteries for the cleanest possible energy supply.
