IoT Analytics counted 29 industrial agentic AI solutions at Hannover Messe this year. 72% were already on sale. One files a safety incident on the technician's behalf. Another nudges a brewery centrifuge setpoint by up to 10% and tells the operator after.

The report names the bottleneck holding all of this back: data foundation deficits.
Which makes some boring questions expensive. Did every device report in this morning? Did the truck that crossed the border keep its session? Is that reading 4 seconds old or 40 minutes old?

An agent acting on stale telemetry still acts. Just wrongly, and fast.

Berg Insight's 2026 report: cellular IoT connectivity revenue hit €14.5 billion in 2025, across 4.2 billion connections, even as revenue per connection fell 7% to €0.31.

Thinner margins per device are pushing enterprises off do-it-yourself connectivity and onto managed services.

"Sovereign" is not a regulated word.
