An AI agent can only act on the data that reaches it.

IoT Analytics counted 29 industrial agentic AI solutions at Hannover Messe this year. 72% were already on sale. One files a safety incident on the technician's behalf. Another nudges a brewery centrifuge setpoint by up to 10% and tells the operator after.

The report names the bottleneck holding all of this back: data foundation deficits.
Which makes some boring questions expensive. Did every device report in this morning? Did the truck that crossed the border keep its session? Is that reading 4 seconds old or 40 minutes old?

An agent acting on stale telemetry still acts. Just wrongly, and fast.

A local SIM keeps the radio attachment in-country. It says nothing about where your logs live, who holds the encryption keys, or which country your provider's support desk sits in.

IDC found that 40% of European organizations already run sovereign cloud, up from roughly 30% two years ago. STL Partners puts the price premium for sovereign infrastructure at 10 to 15% over standard alternatives. Buyers are paying for control, and they need proof they're getting it.
