Vietnam Cloud & Datacenter Convention 2026 has come to a close. We're grateful to have been part of an important conversation about the future of digital infrastructure in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia.
Held in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme "Pioneering Ho Chi Minh: The Silicon Valley of Asia with AI, DC and Connectivity", VNCDC 2026 brought together leaders from the cloud, data center, AI, telecom and digital infrastructure ecosystem to discuss where the region is heading โ€” and what it will take to get there.
A key moment for our team was the closing panel, "The Road to 2030: Can Vietnam Lead ASEAN's AI Infrastructure Boom?", where Vladimir Kangin, Founder & CEO of IPTP Networks, joined industry leaders to discuss the infrastructure foundations behind Vietnam's AI ambitions โ€” from power and site readiness to connectivity and investment.

Bandwidth pricing depends on more than a per-Mbps rate. The billing model determines what actually appears on the invoice at the end of the month.

Three models are standard in the industry:
๐Ÿ”ธFlat rate โ€” fixed capacity, fixed monthly cost. Common for DIA, office internet, dedicated channels, EoMPLS, IPLC, and most fixed-capacity connectivity services.
๐Ÿ”ธCommitted Rate + burst (95th percentile) โ€” you commit to a baseline and can exceed it. Usage above the commit is measured at month-end using the 95th percentile method. Standard for IP Transit and IX Transit.
๐Ÿ”ธVolume-based โ€” you pay per gigabyte or terabyte transferred. Typically used in dedicated hosting, out-of-band management ports, and smaller hosting projects.

Each model fits a different traffic profile and type of service. Getting this right matters as much as negotiating the headline price.

NVIDIA has released vGPU software version 20.0, adding support for the new Blackwellโ€‘class GPUs: the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition (liquidโ€‘cooled) and the RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition. The release also introduces several technical improvements across the virtualization stack.

vGPU technology has long enabled sharing physical GPUs across virtual machines.

This update focuses on expanding hardware support and refining resource management. A key addition is the fixed share scheduler for timeโ€‘sliced vGPUs with different amounts of frame buffer on the same physical GPU, offering more flexible memory allocation for virtual instances. The release also brings support for the Wayland display server protocol and extends MIGโ€‘backed vGPU capabilities on VMware vSphere 9 Update 1, allowing both compute and graphics workloads to be consolidated on a single GPU with hardwareโ€‘level isolation.

At the same time, NVIDIA has begun phasing out older hardware. vGPU 20.0 is the first release that no longer supports the Tesla V100 series, the Tesla M10, and the Quadro RTX 6000/8000 series.

Smarter memory allocation translates directly into higher consolidation ratios and more efficient infrastructure utilization.
