A lot of fleet work still ends with someone chasing footage, locations or updates after the fact. 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 | China: Dynamic Vehicle Monitoring

In China, several major commercial vehicle groups have been required to stay connected to monitoring platforms since 2014.

The rules cover commercial passenger vehicles, dangerous-goods vehicles, semi-trailer tractors and ordinary freight vehicles weighing 12 tonnes or more.

Once connected, operators and authorities can follow vehicle location, speed, route and driving status during the trip. Speeding and fatigue alerts can also be reviewed, drivers contacted and the response recorded.

By the end of 2021, more than 7.9 million road transport vehicles in China were using BeiDou. An official report also recorded a decline of more than 50% in major road transport accidents and related deaths or missing persons after the national system entered service.

It gives operators and authorities a shared view of the journey, with a clear process for responding to speeding and fatigue risks.

Vehicles do not always stay with a fleet for very long.

Rental cars come back and go out again. Delivery vehicles are replaced or reassigned. New vehicles are added, sometimes faster than the team can arrange installation.

In these cases, tracking needs to be easy to put in place.

VL501 plugs directly into the vehicle's power socket, allowing teams to start tracking without additional wiring or a separate installation appointment. GNSS, LTE and Bluetooth provide the connectivity needed for everyday location monitoring.

It is a simple option for rental, leasing, delivery and other fleets that regularly move vehicles in and out of operation and do not need installation to become another item on the schedule.

A green poster is not a sustainability strategy.

In IoT, sustainability often comes down to ordinary operational decisions: keeping products useful for longer, avoiding replacements that are not yet needed, reducing manual checks, and cutting trips that timely information could have prevented.

None of this looks especially exciting in a campaign. It does make daily operations less wasteful.

For Jimi IoT, taking a longer view means considering the full working life of a product, from deployment and maintenance to how reliably it continues doing its job over time. It also means paying attention to the small, repeated waste that becomes easy to ignore once it turns into routine.

A greener operation may simply mean using equipment longer, sending people out only when needed, and spending less time, fuel, and materials on work that better information could have avoided.

We do not aim to make one product simply acceptable everywhere.
We work to make it fit each market properly.

The same device can face very different conditions from one country to another. Network coverage varies. Vehicle models vary. Installation methods, platform preferences, and operating habits vary too.

A product may be technically compatible with a market and still need more work before it fits the project. That may involve different accessories, configurations, installation support, platform integration, or simply a better understanding of how customers use it day to day.

For Jimi IoT, global experience means more than supplying products to many countries. It means understanding local conditions early, making the right adjustments, and helping each project reach a standard beyond simply "works."

One product can serve many markets, but the way we configure, install, and support it changes from one market to another.

𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 | Europe: Drivers' Hours & Tachograph 🇪🇺

We have made it to Europe this week.

🚛 Long noses and 🚚 flat noses are not the only differences between fleets in North America and Europe.

Across the EU, professional drivers generally have a daily driving limit of nine hours, with a 45-minute break required after no more than 4.5 hours behind the wheel.

The tachograph records driving, breaks, rest and other work. Digital models became mandatory for newly registered commercial vehicles in 2006, followed by smart tachographs in 2019 with positioning and remote communication functions.

The system continues to expand, with certain light commercial vehicles used in international transport joining the scope in July 2026.

Assets are easiest to manage before they start moving.

The problem starts when a trailer leaves the yard, a container changes hands, or a piece of equipment moves to another site and the latest update is already a few hours old. From there, finding one asset can turn into messages, phone calls, and a surprising amount of confidence in someone's memory. 🤦‍♂️

LL303PRO gives each asset a clearer history of where it is, where it has been, and when it moved, so the answer no longer depends on who picks up the phone or who happens to remember the last handover.

Some assets do not need more paperwork, just a reliable record of where they are and where they have been. Sometimes it really is that simple.

No matter which countries reach the final or how many decisions are debated along the way, the never runs short of controversy. It also gives us something else to think about: why can a one-stop solution leave less room for dispute?

A good goal rarely comes from one player doing everything. It takes the pass from the back, the run through midfield, the timing up front, and the final touch to set the stadium on fire.

Fleet operations work in much the same way, just without the final touch firing up the whole operations team 👀. Routes, driver behavior, vehicle location, video, and cargo status all play their own part in keeping a delivery moving.

A one-stop solution brings those parts together and gives everyone a clearer view of the same journey. Decisions become faster, responsibilities become clearer, and there is less room for different versions of the same event.

When every part of the journey works together, the delivery has a much better chance of reaching the goal.
