Your organization’s data is its DNA, and AI lets you more fully get value from it. 💡

That's what our CEO and Founder, Warren Roy, shared in Montreal this month at ALL IN, Canada's largest AI conference. Speaking on the session “AI at Scale in Your Hand,” Warren said that this value only holds up if the data behind an AI model is complete, structured, verifiable, and maintained in infrastructure that companies can control themselves.

Other conference speakers discussed how AI output often improves when you give a model less data rather than more. Whether a model is large or small, it’s easily replaceable, but the data quality is crucial.

Tony Meredith, our Digital Transformation Director, covered security concerns in another session, explaining why Global Relay chose private AI infrastructure. He commented that sovereign AI has moved from a debate about its necessity to policy being passed on who controls AI infrastructure in mere months. And he predicted that the organizations that get AI agents into everyday operational use over the next year will be the ones whose data was already in order.

The number one obstacle AI surveillance faces is fragmented, inconsistent data. 🔎

Unlocking the Value of Artificial Intelligence in Communications Surveillance, a new report that Global Relay commissioned from 1LoD, found that fragmented systems and poor data quality outweigh other concerns, like real-time processing. When financial firms use complete data, they see up to 70% fewer false positives from AI-enabled detection.

Firms that create a single, secure data architecture will detect risk earlier and generate richer insights than firms that maintain data in multiple places.

The FCA’s non-financial misconduct rules are now in effect.

That means bullying, harassment, and violence have become conduct risks for thousands more FCA-authorized firms.

As part of the changes, the FCA is testing whether firms' controls actually work in practice. Here's a 10-step checklist covering everything from policy updates to notification requirements. 💭

We held five Summer Sips events throughout the season from our offices in New York, London, and Stockholm. 🎲🌟

These gatherings give us a chance to bring Global Relay employees, customers, and friends together to share industry perspectives while relaxing in picturesque spaces.

Here's how the summer added up:
• We welcomed 199 people across five events.
• Six signature drinks kept the conversations flowing.
On the Record Peach Old Fashioned (with a Global Relay ice cube)
Get a GRIP Rita
Sp-AI-cy Margarita
GR-App-erol Spritz
Article 75
Zero Risk Punch mocktail
• We enjoyed over 600 pizzas, more than 40 hors d’oeuvres, and ice cream from one Tipsy Scoop cart, so no one left hungry.

A special shoutout to our in-house chefs for all their efforts. Here's to more conversations and cocktails ahead.

This category celebrates companies that put real investment into how their teams work, grow, and connect, and we're thrilled to be recognized.
