Happening TOMORROW!
Feedback without Fallout: A Framework for Vital Volunteer Conversations
featuring Karen Knight

📅 Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026
1:00 - 2:00 pm EST

Providing volunteer feedback can be scary.

We know that a behavior needs to change, but we don’t want to damage the relationship. This is hard enough when we are guiding our volunteer teams, but the stakes (and fear) are that much higher when we need to deliver feedback to other staff, or even our supervisors...

This webinar with Karen Knight covers time-tested ideas and research-based techniques for providing feedback to people at multiple levels in your organization.

You'll leave with:

✔️ A step-by-step process for becoming more confident providing feedback
✔️ Research-based techniques for providing feedback in ways that ensure it changes behavior
✔️ Tips for ensuring that feedback strengthens relationships rather than fracturing them
✔️ How to adjust those tips and techniques depending on where the recipient is in the organization’s hierarchy

We will cover suggestions for becoming more comfortable when providing feedback, regardless of to whom, and techniques for ensuring that the feedback is both effective, and actually strengthens relationships.

All registrants will receive a recording of the presentation AND bonus resources.

Welcome Home: Building Practical Systems That Support People
featuring Angela Williamson, CVA

📆 Thursday, September 17th
at 2:00 pm EST

Strong volunteer programs don’t run on good intentions alone. They need practical systems that create clarity, consistency, and capacity — without losing the human connection that makes volunteer engagement meaningful.

In this practical session, Angela Williamson, CVA, explores how thoughtful systems can reduce unnecessary confusion, repetition, and administrative work so volunteer engagement professionals can spend more time supporting people and building relationships.

Attendees will learn how to identify processes that are creating extra work, turn knowledge that lives in someone’s head into useful shared systems, and determine what can be handled through templates, checklists, calendars, technology, and documentation — and what still requires human judgment, listening, encouragement, and care.

Using the idea of volunteer engagement as a welcoming home, Angela will explore the practical systems that support the volunteer experience, including communication, scheduling, training, resources, support, recognition, and continuity.

The goal isn’t to create more process for the sake of process. It’s to build systems that intentionally support the people they serve.

In this free LIVE webinar, you'll learn:

✔️ How to identify areas where volunteer engagement processes are fragile, confusing, or creating unnecessary work
✔️ How to create simple, repeatable systems that improve consistency
✔️ How to move recurring knowledge and processes from individual memory into shared systems
✔️ How documentation can improve continuity and reduce reliance on one person
