11 people on the clock. 35.8 boxes per labour hour.

Many sheds can tell you that second number later, once the timesheets are in and someone has done the sums. The packing run finished a long time ago and there's nothing you can do with it now.

Staff clock into a work area and a role. Pallets get recorded against the same areas. So the numbers can sit on a screen on the shed wall while the line is still running. Bins tipped, kg packed, who's on which line, boxes per labour hour.

If a supervisor is weighing up pulling two people off sorting for the last hour, they can see whether it's worth doing.

The screen below is an example. What goes on yours depends on what your supervisors actually use.

How long does someone in your office spend turning last week's hours into a payroll file?

In a lot of sheds it's still a Friday job. Paper book on one side, spreadsheet on the other, squinting at handwriting.

Every punch in FreshTrack Timeclock already has the person, the work area, the role and the time on it. So the hours are broken down before anyone opens a spreadsheet. Export to CSV, import into MYOB or Xero, done.

Because the hours sit against work areas, you can see what each line costs you to run, not just what the whole shed costs.

Many packing sheds we walk into still run hours off a clipboard by the door. Someone types it up later in the week and it gets forwarded to Payroll.

Ask how many people are working on a packing line right now and you have to go out and count. When someone moves off one packing line onto another halfway through the shift and nobody writes it down, the hours end up against the wrong area, making measuring labour costs a nightmare!

That's what we built Timeclock for.

A Worker walks up to a tablet and the Camera quickly recognises them. They pick the work area and the role they're heading to, and they're on. No tags to lose. Nobody clocking on for their mate. It keeps working offline too, which matters if the Wifi drops out, or if you're in areas with poor reception.
