Good digital accessibility is more than asking, “Are we compliant?” and thinking about “Can everyone actually access and use our digital experiences?”

Chris Holloway, Head of Accessibility at Recite Me, shares why accessibility should always be people-first.

Sharing the incredible news that our Founder and CEO, Ross Linnett, has been named in a list of 250 of the UK's best founder-led businesses by Business Cloud.

Ross's experience with dyslexia and the challenges he faced when accessing digital information are what drove him to start Recite Me in 2009.

From just four members of staff, we're now a team of over 100 across the UK, US and Australia helping businesses worldwide make their websites inclusive and accessible to millions of end users who would otherwise be excluded.

We're lucky to still be founder-led and to be shaped by Ross's influence and passion for people-first digital accessibility.

We've launched Smart Suggest.

No two people experience the web in the same way, so why should accessibility start with assumptions?

Smart Suggest suggests assistive tools to personalise a user's digital experience based on the content on the page, not a pre-defined profile. This gives users a simple place to start while leaving them in control of what works best for them.

Because inclusion should empower people to discover what works, not tell them what should.
