Our team spent this past week in the theme park capital of the world, and it was not just for the rides.

It was great to attend IACP 2026, the largest law enforcement gathering of the year, alongside more than 16,000 public safety professionals. Four days of learning, connecting with the agencies we serve and hearing where the profession is heading next.

On Sunday morning, Jacqui Nelson, our CEO, joined the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE) Leadership Breakfast, a valuable start to the conference.

Of course, Eric Young, Chris Cowan and Jacqui also made time for Universal Studios, strictly for team-building purposes.

DekkoSecure's AI transcription tool is now helping Weber County work through digital evidence.

The tool transcribes body camera and interview footage directly on the device, with timestamps that make it easy to find the exact moment a conversation happened.

Branden Miles, Chief Criminal Deputy at the Weber County Attorney's Office, shared how that's changed his team's work:

"From a body camera video, we now have the ability to have a transcription of that whole interaction with timestamps that show us when critical conversations were occurring. We also have translation tools, so we don't have to wait or hire somebody to translate in order to know what was said between the officer and the individual. "The sharing of information has been the hardest thing with digital evidence."
