Keep an eye out for fake CAPTCHA pages! ⚠️👇

CAPTCHAs are used to prove you’re ‘not a robot’ by clicking on specific images that include things like cars or traffic lights 🖱️🚦

We continue to see cybercriminals using fake CAPTCHA prompts, on real and fake websites, to steal information from Australians and gain access to their devices. Some fake CAPTCHAs are asking users to copy and paste malicious code, tricking them into downloading malware to their device.

Copying and pasting text or code is not a normal CAPTCHA process 🚫 If you see a prompt to do this, treat it as malicious.

We are incredibly grateful to the Tasmanian Community Fund for investing in our vision to expand this program statewide over the next five years. This support will allow more older Tasmanians living in residential aged care to build digital confidence and social connections, while giving more young people the opportunity to learn, mentor and connect across generations.

Programs like this are only possible because of the people who believe in them. Thank you to every residential aged care home, school, teacher, student and young mentor who has welcomed the program and helped it grow. Your enthusiasm, generosity and willingness to connect across generations have made a lasting difference.

A very special thank you to our Program Manager, Mel Knuckey, whose passion, determination and countless hours of work have taken this program from an idea to a growing statewide initiative.
