Origins of Nap Map Geomatics

So here is how the name Nap Map Geomatics came to life. Back in the day, women's jobs were to bear children, tend to their "nappies" (please take note of that word) take care of the family and all. It even went further that women were deemed not fit for education and even if they broke past that barrier their jobs were only to be secretaries, PAs, and so forth.

STEM jobs were male-dominated and it was more of like a taboo for women to take up jobs in the engineering, survey, and construction sectors. Slowly and surely in this 21st century, women are taking up careers in these soo male-dominated sectors and proving to be the best in them.

The Geomatics Sector is all about "mapping" (take note of this word again) the world. Women managed to change the narration from not only tending to kids (napping) but to take careers in the geomatics sector (mapping) the world.

The name (Nap Map Geomatics) was derived from the slogan "from napping the world to mapping it".

We tried to even explain this vision in a pictorial form whereby the logo attached to this passage has a picture of a "nappy" and a "map" overlaying on top. If you are in the geomatics sector you will understand this spatial overlay that is being displayed
