PUBLIC NOTICE: MINISTRY OF LANDS TO ISSUE 900 CERTIFICATES OF TITLE IN KAFUE
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources wishes to inform the general public that it will be conducting a Certificate of Title issuance exercise in Kafue District from Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th April 2026
*Venue: Nangongwe Primary School, Kafue
*Time: 09:00hrs to 15:00hrs daily
A total of 900 Certificates of Title will be issued to landowners who have made the minimum required payment under the National Land Titling Program.This exercise is part of the Ministry’s nationwide land formalization sensitization programme aimed at enhancing efficient and timely service delivery.
Why this matters:
Having a Certificate of Title gives you legal security over your property. It proves ownership, increases land value, allows you to use your property as collateral, and protects you from disputes. This is in line with Government’s commitment to ensure every Zambian with property has legal documentation.
Who should come:
All individuals who have received notification from the Ministry and have made the minimum payment for their property under the National Land Titling Program.
What to bring:
1. *Copy of your NRC* – for identity verification
2. *Proof of payment* – receipt or bank slip showing minimum payment made
3. *Offer Letter* – issued to you by the Ministry
*Important notes:*
- Only individuals with the above documents will be attended to.
- Please arrive early to avoid long queues.
- Ministry officials will be on site to answer questions about land services, ground rent, and the titling process.
The Ministry remains committed to bringing services closer to the people and improving land administration across Zambia.

📢LIVINGSTONE!! WE ARE IN YOUR AREA. 💥💥

We are pleased to announce that distribution of Certificates of Title in parts of Livingstone areas has commenced. The exercise will run from 30th March to 2nd April, 2026. The following are areas and venues where distribution will be conducted:

Dambwa Site and Service Extension Livinstone Civic Center

Kabila - Linda South Secondary School

Manjeleti - Linda South Secondary School

Kash*tu - Livinstone Civic Center

Mulala - Nyanzabili Primary School

Sakubita - Linda South Secondary School

Zambezi Sawmills - Livinstone Civic Center

All landowners who received messages from MLNR are required to visit their respective collection point with a photocopy of their NRC and a witness for each person appearing on the Title.

NOTE: A TITLE CANNOT BE COLLECTED ON SOMEONES BEHALF

Payment options will also be availabe on site.

📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE: REMOVAL OF RESTRICTION STATEMENT ON THE TITLE – SOLWEZI

A team from the Ministry of Lands will be stationed at the Ministry of Lands office in Solwezi from 19th to 23rd January, 2026 to help facilitate removal of restriction statements on the Title.

Under the NLTP, Landowners benefit from a flexible installment payment plan and collect their Certificate of Title after paying the minimum amount. The title has a restriction statement such as “No further transactions on this property until full payment of consideration fees.”

Once the full payment is completed, this restriction must be formally removed to allow:

Sale or transfer of the property

Use of the title for financing or collateral

Full enjoyment of ownership rights

What Landowners Should Do
Ensure your full balance has been paid
Visit the Ministry of Lands Office in Solwezi during the stated period
Carry your Certificate of Title and proof of payment

This is an important step toward unlocking full rights and value of your land.
For guidance and clarification, officers will be available throughout the exercise.
