Today, May 22, 2026, the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) conducted an Agent Training Programme at the Main Post Office along Cairo Road in Lusaka. The training aimed to enhance agentsโ€™ knowledge and skills in key areas such as SIM card registration guidelines, fraud and scam prevention, customer complaint management, and professional etiquette.

The programme was attended by 173 agents drawn from Airtel, MTN and Zamtel. The capacity-building sessions were conducted to promote compliance with Statutory Instrument No. 10 of 2026, equip agents with knowledge on compliant SIM registration processes, and curb illegal practices such as the sale of pre-registered SIM cards.
