I think the design industry is at a major crossroads. With the promise of cheaper and quicker results, many startups and some big-name companies have been using AI models to design ads, logos, and other deliverables. Where does this leave human designers? Well, I believe that no matter how advanced design AI models become, they will never replace a human designer’s ability to “feel.” Design is not only about reading design briefs and interpreting them with color, typography, and shapes. No. It is also about pulsing and trying to understand how the brand you are building makes your clients feel.
This is exactly what has helped Bugatti build their brand. They understand that everybody can push out high-performance numbers in their production vehicles, but it is only the human touch that can understand how emotionally attached Bugatti clients are to the brand and then use that to shape the character and story of every model they build. As a designer, do not give in in the face of AI—dig deeper and let your creativity connect with clients in a way AI never can.
