Still reflecting on an incredible week in Istanbul.
It was a profound honour for Ebusaka to be invited as a Speaker at the Zero Waste Forum 2026, convened by the Zero Waste Foundation and bringing together representatives from 183 countries, 120+ ministers, and nearly 7,000 participants under the theme "Road to Antalya: Zero Waste as Climate Action".
Our Founder & CEO, Muyunda Kaonga, had the privilege of speaking on two sessions — Traceability That Reduces Waste: From Products to Collection and the Demo Day Startups showcase — sharing how Ebusaka is using FinTech and traceability to transform waste management across Lusaka and build cleaner, more accountable cities.
To do this on a stage opened by H.E. First Lady Emine Erdoğan and addressed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, alongside a global community of policymakers, mayors, innovators, and grassroots leaders, was deeply humbling.
A special thank you to the Yunus Environment Hub for recommending us to the Forum and for the continued support they have extended to Ebusaka along this journey. Your belief in our work means a great deal.
We leave Istanbul more convinced than ever that zero waste is not just waste management—it is climate action. And that solutions built in cities like Lusaka belong firmly in this global conversation, on the road to COP31 in Antalya.
