This book will teach readers that colonialism went far beyond taking land and resources—it fundamentally reshaped how Africans think about God, themselves, and their own history by imposing a European Christian worldview while dismissing indigenous beliefs as primitive or evil. Readers will learn about the specific tools of this spiritual conquest, including the Doctrine of Discovery, missionary education, and biblical interpretations that justified slavery and colonial rule. The book will also show how these colonial ideas continue to influence African education, politics, and personal faith even today. More importantly, readers will discover how African philosophies, Ubuntu, indigenous spiritual traditions, Black Liberation Theology, and African Independent Churches offer powerful resources for rebuilding spiritual life on African terms. They will come to understand the concept of "spiritual sovereignty"—the freedom to define reality and interpret the sacred using one's own cultural and ancestral frameworks—and why this freedom is just as essential as political independence. Finally, the book will make clear that true healing for Africa requires not rejecting Christianity or romanticizing the past, but creatively reconstructing faith and identity by drawing on Africa's own intellectual and spiritual heritage, so that Africans can engage the world as equals rather than as inheritors of colonial thought.

Escaping the Grip of Poverty is a motivational and practical guide focused on shifting the reader's mindset from dependency to self-reliance for the purpose of wealth building. The author begins by distinguishing between the "hunter" mentality, which seeks immediate gratification and depletes resources, and the "Jacob" mentality, which plans, cultivates, and increases assets. He argues that poverty cannot be solved by governments or NGOs alone; instead, individuals must take personal responsibility for their economic well-being and wealth creation. The book provides six theological and practical reasons for acquiring wealth, including leaving an inheritance for grandchildren and caring for one's family. It demystifies entrepreneurship, presenting it as a learnable process of solving problems and taking calculated risks. A significant portion is dedicated to overcoming the fear of retirement by investing early and developing skills beyond routine employment. The author emphasizes the importance of a detailed business plan to clarify objectives, mobilize resources, and anticipate challenges. He also explores emotional intelligence, explaining how faith, desire, hope, and love foster positive emotions, while fear and jealousy destroy progress toward wealth. Practical advice extends to starting a profitable local chicken business as a low-capital entry point into wealth building. Throughout the book, African natural resource abundance is contrasted with persistent poverty to highlight the need for a mental revolution. The final message is that every individual has the power to "aim for the peak" and build wealth regardless of their starting point
