One picture. One idea. One finished design.

A client came to me with a simple clothing photo and asked me to turn it into something she could actually use to promote her products.

So I took the idea from the DM, opened Photoshop, and built the entire visual from scratch background removal, composition, typography, product presentation and the final polish.

I Taught Myself This. Here's What No One Tells You

Nobody handed me a curriculum.

No design school. No mentor sitting next to me walking me through it. No one telling me which software to start with, how to handle a client who hates the first draft, or what to do when you know the work is good but you can't explain why yet.
I figured it out by starting badly.

The first flyers I made were genuinely embarrassing. The fonts were wrong. The spacing was wrong. The colours clashed. But I kept going... because no one was going to do it for me, and I knew the only way to close the gap between where I was and where I needed to be was through work.

Here's what no one tells you about teaching yourself a creative skill:
Your taste develops faster than your ability. You'll know what good looks like long before you can produce it. That gap is uncomfortable. It doesn't mean you're failing, it means you're developing.

Every bad design teaches you something a tutorial never will.
Clients don't care how you learned. They care what you can do.

The businesses I work with in Lusaka don't need a certificate. They need someone who makes their brand look like it means business.
