Our MAX15 stage monitors, powered by d&b Audiotechnik D6 or D12 amplifiers have been part of our audio inventory for close on 20 years and continue to be one of our most trusted solutions for demanding live stage monitoring.

The MAX15 is a high-performance coaxial stage monitor capable of operating in passive or bi-amplified mode. Designed to deliver consistent, controlled coverage, exceptional vocal clarity and powerful, high-output performance, it is ideally suited to demanding professional stages and artists with exacting monitoring requirements.

RED BULL UNLOCKED 2026 SHOW DAY!
We’re live at Red Bull Unlocked!
After a massive week of building, rigging, cabling, sound checking, light testing and getting everything show ready, the doors are open and the event is in full swing at Makers Landing V&A Waterfront.
It’s always a special one for us working with Red Bull. Our relationship goes back more than 20 years, and it’s great to see another big production come to life.
A huge effort from the Golden Circle crew, working alongside Ultra Events and Aurras - now the hard work behind the scenes gets to do its job.

Red Bull Unlocked 2026!

It's been a busy week for the Golden Circle team as we prepare for Red Bull Unlocked taking place this Saturday, 26 September, at Makers Landing, Cape Town Cruise Terminal, V&A Waterfront!
With over 70 artists and DJs across 10 venues, Red Bull Unlocked brings some of Cape Town's favourite nightlife spots together under one roof for an incredible night of music across a wide variety of genres.

Our relationship with Red Bull goes back more than 20 years, so being involved in another one of their events with Beanstalk is always something special for us.

The guys have been hard at work this week building structures, setting up audio and lighting, and getting everything ready for show day. We're once again working alongside ULTRA and AURRAS who have assisted with the LED and additional DJ equipment and it's been great seeing everything come together over the past couple of days.
A big thanks to everyone involved in making this happen. We're looking forward to seeing all the hard work pay off on Saturday!

Golden Circle's Equipment Spotlight of the Week!

This week we're showcasing one of our Shure ULX-D wireless microphone systems paired with our Perspex lectern. For corporate events, conferences and presentations we like a setup that's easy to use and gives the speaker flexibility.
Our Shure ULX-D8 wireless lectern microphone allows us to position the lectern wherever needed without running microphone cables across the stage. Paired with our ULX-D4 digital receivers and UA844+SWB antenna distribution system, we have a setup that delivers the audio quality and RF performance we've come to expect from Shure. For speakers who prefer a handheld, we have our ULX-D2 transmitter with a Beta 58 capsule. We also have a selection of headset mics and ULX-D1 belt pack transmitters for those who prefer to go completely hands-free.
Our 4-way receiver rack allows us to run up to four wireless microphones simultaneously. Whether it's a lectern mic, a couple of headsets and a roaming handheld for audience Q&A, or any other combination, we can tailor the setup to suit the event.
The antenna distribution system also powers all four receivers meaning one power cable runs the entire rack. No individual power supplies or unnecessary cables at the back.

Whether it's a single presenter behind the lectern or a panel discussion with multiple speakers, we can mix and match microphones to suit the occasion. It's this flexibility, combined with Shure's wireless technology that makes this a system we enjoy getting out there!

Golden Circle's Equipment Spotlight of the week!

d&b audiotechnik E8 + E15X-SUB + D6

This one is a bit of a personal favourite here at Golden Circle.
The E8 and E15X-SUB system, in many ways, sums up why we love d&b. It’s compact, sleek and simple, but still packs a serious punch. Just really good design meeting really good functionality. German engineering for the win!

The E8 is an 8” coaxial box with 90° x 50° dispersion, paired with the 15” E15X-SUB which takes the system down to 37Hz. It’s quite surprising how much sound you can get out of such a small footprint. Despite its size, the E8 is capable of up to 126 dB SPL!
We run ours off two trusty D6 amplifiers. They’re getting on a bit now, but for this little system they’re perfect. Proper d&b processing, EQ, delay and monitoring.

We love this setup for cocktail functions, weddings, corporate events, brand activations, presentations and smaller DJ setups. Anywhere you need proper sound without bringing in a much bigger PA than the job actually needs.
Quick to set up, easy to move and sounds great.
A proper little Golden Circle favourite.

Psalm van Zoid at it again in Knysna.
A captive show tastefully curated by Karen Zoid around the collaboration of the church, its organ and a rock band. Each venue presents its challenges with layouts and acoustics for us. Fortunately, we are able to bring the right tools for the job. Utilising an all d&b point source PA package, with HK polar column arrays for balcony fills, all powered our new Midas Heritage D console.
Having done several of these shows, but using the Heritage D for the first time on this event series makes it a particular pleasure to deliver, noting a more controlled and smoother result than ever. The combination with the PA simply delivers a remarkably silky and transparent result to every listener with just the right amount of warmth.

As we get ready for the second night, we can only thank team Zoid for having us support all the western cape segments of this 21 Show series. All of them sold out, not a single show without a standing ovation and just outright overjoyed responses from attendees.
