WhatsApp accounts taken over in South Africa

WhatsApp Scam Warning for South Africans

Cybercriminals are increasingly hijacking WhatsApp accounts belonging to South Africans and using them to impersonate victims in order to scam their friends, family, and colleagues.

Victims are often locked out of their own accounts while scammers send messages requesting money or sensitive information from trusted contacts.

Experts say these attacks are carried out using phishing links, social engineering, leaked login credentials, and SIM swap fraud.

⚠️ Protect yourself:
* Never share your WhatsApp verification code with anyone.
* Enable two-step verification in WhatsApp.
* Be cautious of unexpected messages or links.
* If a friend asks for money via WhatsApp, verify the request by calling them directly.

Stay vigilant and share this warning to help protect others from becoming the next victim.

One of the jobs we love to hate. Hinge support mounts destroyed on a Mecer. This is risky as repairs are not factory strength fixes. To alleviate stress on the repaired grommets we release tension on the hinges but on this Guru that option is not available. Some careful work required on this one.

You do get the "home" specialists who doesn't mind fiddling where they shouldn't. These plastic connectors are essential for keeping the CPU cool by providing enough pressure for the cooler block. This cost the client a new cooler as well as a replacement i5 CPU. Be careful where you fiddle and who you trust with your technology repairs.
