This is Lassie, a cute Scotty girl. Her owner Shirley asked me to paint her portrait. My trusty and talented artist/photographer pal, Ken Etberg, did the honours with the photography for me to work from... he said he had to take an awful lot of photos to get one showing her sweet brown eyes... even just a little! Dogs with thick, rough curly black coats come with their own challenges.. as I also found out when I was painting her! However, my artistic persistence paid off I think, and here is the end result.
