Every spaza shop deserves a proper till. Now it can have one for the price of a phone it already owns. πΏπ¦
Spaza shops keep our neighbourhoods running, yet most still trade without a real point-of-sale system. Scanners are expensive, data runs out, and owners can't see what's selling (or walking out the door) when they're not behind the counter.
So we built Estolo, a simple till made in South Africa, with spaza owners, for busy counters, cheap phones and patchy data.
What it does:
π± Scans barcodes with your phone camera, no scanner to buy
πΆ Keeps selling when the data runs out, then syncs once you're back online
π΅ Works out change (rounded to 10c) and handles cash, card and split payments
π¬ Sends receipts to the customer's WhatsApp, no printer or paper rolls
π Gives each staff member their own PIN, with supervisor approval for refunds and price changes
π¦ Tracks stock properly, including cases, loose items and items sold by weight
π Lets owners watch today's sales live from anywhere and cash up at the end of the day
Setup takes about 5 minutes, with a ready-made stock list and prices so you can be selling the same day. It's available in English and isiZulu.
R300 per store per month. All tills, all staff, every feature. No contract. First 30 days free, no card needed.
If you own a spaza, know someone who does, or work with informal retailers, I'd love your help getting this in front of them. π
