Corsair today announced the launch of its first line of individually addressable RGB-lit power supplies, the CX-F RGB Series. Delivering 80 PLUS Bronze-certified efficiency with fully modular cabling, CX-F RGB PSUs are available in 550W, 650W, and 750W models with either black or white housing and cables.

A 120mm RGB fan with eight customizable RGB LEDs lights up the interior of your system, adjusted via onboard push-button control, advanced customization with CORSAIR iCUE software, or motherboard 5V ARGB control. With an 80 PLUS Bronze rating, the CX-F RGB Series provides up to 88% operational efficiency, using 105°C rated Japanese primary electrolytic capacitors to deliver consistent, reliable power and superb electrical performance. Its fully modular cabling means you only have to connect the cables that your system needs, making it easy to finish a clean build. The 120mm cooling fan runs on a custom fan speed curve, specially calculated for low-noise cooling while delivering stable, efficient power to your PC. The CX-F RGB Series also offers full compatibility with Microsoft Modern Standby sleep mode when connected to compatible motherboards and CPUs, for extremely fast wake-from-sleep times.

Lit by eight bright, individually addressable RGB LEDs, the CX-F RGB offers simple push-button control over your lighting, cycling through nine preset lighting modes and eight different colors. For more advanced control, connect a CX-F RGB PSU to a CORSAIR iCUE RGB Lighting Controller, such as the iCUE Lighting Node PRO or Commander PRO, and use the power of iCUE software to fully customize your lighting. CX-F RGB PSUs also include a 5V ARGB adapter for motherboard-powered RGB lighting control. With a five-year warranty as your guarantee of reliable operation throughout multiple system builds, the CX-F RGB Series delivers steady power and spectacular color.

The ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC is the fastest RTX 3080 around and clocks 13% higher than the Founders Edition

ASUS has finally announced the clock speeds of the ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC, over two weeks after the card's announcement. The ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC tops out at 1,935 MHz, making it the fastest RTX 3080 that has been announced so far. Rumour has it that 20 GB editions of the RTX 3080 will have higher clock speeds, though.

It has been a few weeks since ASUS announced its ROG STRIX variants of the RTX 3080, which it unveiled shortly after the official launch of the RTX 30 series. However, the company has only now announced the clock speeds of the ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC edition, and they are way above NVIDIA's reference speeds. The RTX 3080 has 10 GB of GDDR6X VRAM, although Gigabyte has confirmed that 20 GB models are incoming. The current batches of RTX 3080 cards have 8,704 CUDA cores, along with a 320-bit memory interface and VRAM that operates at 19 Gbps.

The ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC is currently the fastest RTX 3080 of the lot, though. The OC has a 1,440 MHz base clock and can reach 1,905 MHz by default in Gaming Mode, which is way beyond other custom cards. However, enabling OC Mode increases the card's peak clock speed to 1,935 MHz, a 13.2% increase over the boost clock of the RTX 3080 Founders Edition. Understandably, the ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC requires 3x 8-pin power connectors. The card measures 318.5 x 140.1 x 57.8 mm, for reference, making it a 2.9-slot card according to ASUS.

The ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC is still not available to order, and ASUS has not given any hints when the card will be orderable from third-party retailers. Videocardz notes that 20 GB versions of the RTX 3080 may have higher clock speeds than these initial 10 GB models, so the ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC may not be at the top of the pile for long.

Logitech is pushing out a 25,600 DPI software update to several gaming mice.

If you purchased a Logitech G903 Lightspeed wireless mouse or the G502 Hero, there is a software update available that will bump the sensitivity rating all the way to 25,600 DPI. Same goes half a dozen other models equipped with Logitech's Hero sensor.

Before now, Logitech's excellent Hero sensor topped out at 16,000 DPI. The new update raises the upper limit quite a bit. This does not usually happen—typically if you have a hankering for a more sensitive mouse, you need to adopt a new rodent with an upgraded sensor. That's not the case for the following models:

G403 Hero
G502 Hero
G502 Lightspeed
G604 Lightspeed
G703 Lightspeed
G903 Lightspeed
Pro (Hero)
Pro Wireless
While free upgrades are always nice, this is really more about bragging rights, and flexing the Hero sensor in face of the competition—the jump in DPI qualifies the Hero as the first sub-micron level mouse sensor. Even Logitech readily admits that a cranking the dial from 16,000 to 25,600 is of limited benefit to gaming (though still noteworthy).

"While sub-micron is mostly impractical for most players to use, it reflects the performance potential of the Hero architecture and sensor performance," Logitech says.

Consider it a nifty overclock, if you will (and without liquid nitrogen). For reference, one micron is one millionth of a meter, or 0.000001m. And according to Logitech, the Hero sensor is now capable of tracking movement at a true sub-micron level.
