Fleetsense keeps track of your vehicles wherever they roam - through a Namibian desert or past one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Reliable cross-border connectivity is the backbone of your fleet's real-time data.

The cheapest tyre on the invoice is rarely the cheapest tyre per kilometer. The data across our client fleets tells a story that may differ from what some suppliers claim.

Five analytical views. Millions of data points. Several questions answered in every view:

📦Inventory Insights
Where is every tyre right now? Fitted, spare, storage, or retreading - and when do you need to order more? Built on live GPS odometer data and per-tyre wear rates. Forecasts replacements by size, 30/60/90 days out.

🔍 Condition Insights
Tread depth, pressure compliance, wear pattern, and casing age - flagged per individual tyre, not as a fleet average. Action lists formatted to hand directly to your workshop.

📈 CPK Insights
Cost per kilometre, normalised across every brand, size, retread generation, axle position, vehicle, and driver. The real procurement question isn't which tyre is cheapest. It's which tyre gives the most kilometres per coin.

⚠️ Failure Insights
Every scrapped tyre classified as terminal (worn out - the good outcome), operational (preventable damage - avoidable spend), or manufacturing (warranty candidate). Across our client fleets, 40–50% of scraps sit in the preventable bucket. That's not bad luck. That's recoverable cost.

📡 RFID Scan Insights
Station heartbeat monitoring. Per-tyre RFID tag signal strength trends. Ghost tyre detection. Vehicle scan compliance. We can flag a tag that's losing signal before it goes dark - and tell you which vehicles are routing around your reader gates.

The data was already there - RFID scans, GPS odometers, Inspection records, Casing costs, Retread histories.

We built the layer that makes it speak.

The GPS tracker we supplied/installed years ago is still reporting today.

Same hardware. Same vehicle. New SIM, new firmware, new platform features and insights added over the years.

That's not always common in IoT, especially with the 2G trackers in your fleet that will soon need replacing.

Fleetsense design for the opposite case:
→ Future proof GPS tracker supplied since inception
→ Hardware suited for African roads, temperatures, vibration, and dust
→ Firmware updated remotely, with rollback, while the truck keeps driving
→ Cellular failover across multiple networks without a site visit
→ Diagnostics that surface a struggling unit before it becomes a problem

The cheapest tracker is the one that doesn't need replacing.

The infamous Chirundu escarpment in Southern Zambia, the end of many a truck.

The descent from the plateau toward the Zambezi loses 600 metres of altitude in a handful of kilometres. Gradient, camber, blind corners, oncoming traffic and a steady stream of fully loaded trucks engine-braking the whole way down. Drivers who know the road respect it, those who don't often learn the hard way.

Driver training is the conversation people skip until something like this happens. Then it becomes the only conversation.

Fleetsense shows you the risk zones before the incident. It shows you which drivers struggle on which routes. It can show you which trips ended with harsh events clustering at the same GPS coordinates that wrote off a different truck last quarter.

Fleetsense data just makes sure the conversation you have with your driver is an informed one.

REAL FUEL MANAGEMENT.

50,000 litres of diesel.
30 days of operation.
Hundreds of fuel-out events.
Zero manual entries.

This is a real Fleetsense bulk tank monitoring installation supplying a large haulage operation. Each downward step in the chart is a vehicle drawing fuel. Each upward spike is a delivery from the supplier. Each event carries a timestamp, a volume, and the vehicle that received it - captured automatically because the platform knew which vehicle was at the pump at that moment.

Nobody typed anything. Nobody signed a logbook. Nobody matched a vehicle to a draw at the end of the shift from memory.

The tank is weighed continuously. The platform watches. The data exists because the hardware measured it, not because someone claims it happened.

This is the dividing line between two kinds of fleets:
* One assumes
* The other knows.

WASTE MANAGEMENT: A 6m³ waste skip doesn't have an engine, battery, SIM or GPS antenna.

It also costs serious money to replace, and even more to lose a customer who can't find the one they're paying for.

Most fleets track skips on a clipboard or spreadsheet, which means they track skips in the dark.

* Truck 14 picked up skip 73 at the depot at 06:12
* Dropped it at the Langebaan transfer site at 07:45
* Skip 73 has been stationary for 9 days
* Truck 19 lifted skip 73 this morning and is on its way back to depot.

No GPS, no power. A small self-powered beacon, monitored by all vehicles within the Fleetsense ecosystem, and a platform that quietly logs every handover.

What can't carry a GPS unit can still carry a beacon. Different problem, same answer.

What is your telematics provider's data retention policy?

"When did this rig last cross into DRC?" The fleet manager needed the answer for an insurance claim. The system gave it back in two seconds: August 11, 2021, 07:14.

Years of operating data, unlimited retention policy. Searchable.

This is the part of telematics nobody puts in a demo. The platform that's pretty on day one isn't the one that necessarily matters on day 1,461.

What real accumulated fleet data unlocks:
* Evidence in disputes that happened before the dispute existed
* Audit trails that satisfy SARS, insurance, and customs queries from years back
* Routes that should take 8 hours but have, historically, taken 11, and why
* Tyre wear profiles by season, route, and driver
* Fuel consumption baselines that survive driver turnover
* Year-on-year cost reporting, not just month-on-month

AI dashboards are a dime a dozen - relevant history is a cost-saving asset.

Fish. Pharmaceuticals. Vaccines. Premium produce. High-value perishables.

The line item that ruins the year isn't the diesel, it's the load that arrived two degrees over spec because somewhere between Johannesburg and Lusaka a fridge unit failed to run for an hour.

You don't find out at the destination, you find out with the claim. Continuous temperature and humidity logging, not spot checks or driver reports. This changes which conversation you're having:

* Real-time alerts the moment a setpoint is breached
* Optional client access to the live data
* A full timeline of the trip, exportable for the customer
* Door open/close events tied to GPS location
* Evidence, in writing, before anyone asks.

The cargo is delicate, the proof shouldn't be.
