Job Title: IT Technician (L2/L3)
Location: Somerset West
Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team, providing technical support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in Ubiquity, Servers, Active Directory, MikroTik, VOIP and Office 365 with a strong focus on problem-solving and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to senior team members when necessary
- Configure, install, and maintain IT equipment, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Manage and administer Active Directory, including user and group management, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Design, implement, and maintain wireless networks using Ubiquity equipment
- Configure and manage MikroTik routers and switches
- Perform server administration tasks, including backups, updates, and monitoring
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on network administration and server management
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ubiquity wireless networking equipment
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- MikroTik routers and switches
- Server administration (Windows Server, Linux)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) an asset
