We’re hiring experienced Mine Surveyors to provide professional surveying services to mining clients in the Klerksdorp and Rustenburg areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Volume calculations & mid-month measuring checks
Check surveys, profiling, and boundary cutting in active mining areas
Geospatial surveying, 3D mapping & modelling of mining sites
Aerial and drone surveys for large open-pit and surface areas
Detailed topographic surveys for mine planning & site design
Environmental monitoring + regulatory compliance surveys
Integration of survey data with GIS software & comprehensive reporting for decision-making
Requirements:

National Diploma / BTech in Mine Surveying, Geomatics, or related
Registered with SAGC or ECSA, or eligible
3+ years experience in mine surveying, preferably platinum/gold operations
Skilled with total stations, GNSS, drones, Surpac, AutoCAD, ArcGIS
Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own transport
Medically fit for mining – must pass mine medical
Willing to work shifts and be based in Klerksdorp/Rustenburg area

Since then, I've had the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of industries, including operations, petroleum shutdown projects at Sapref and Sappi in Durban South, coal mining in Richards Bay, and shutdowns at RBCT and RBM.

I later moved to Johannesburg, where I built my expertise in logistics and warehousing within the bakery industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 2–3 years of plastics manufacturing experience to develop into a fully qualified Setter through structured training and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with machine set-up, mould changes, start-ups, and shutdowns
• Adjust basic parameters under supervision and monitor machine performance
• Conduct quality checks and support preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards
• Provide technical support to operators and manage shift handovers

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
