In another unplanned incident, contractors have uprooted and damaged fibre optic cables in Marburg. These incidents are extremely frustrating, given the lengths that Fibre Network Operators have to go to in order to get wayleaves to lay the cables in the first place. Venture-Net Air-Fibre customers are being rerouted via an alternative route but may experience slower speeds as a result. Repairs will be effected during the daylight hours when civil engineers can replace the damaged sections.
