As Heritage Month draws to a close, we are taking a moment to celebrate the many cultures, languages, traditions and stories that make us who we are.



Throughout the month, we have been reminded that our differences are not what divide us; they are the different shades that come together to create something uniquely BLU.

From the languages we speak to the cultures we carry, every person brings a story, a perspective and a little piece of home with them. And together, these many shades create a workplace that reflects the diversity, vibrancy and richness of the country we call home.

Yesterday, TeamBlu came together to celebrate Heritage Day the best way we know how, with good food, great company and a little friendly competition.

Our annual Heritage Day potjie competition brought plenty of laughter, banter and friendly rivalry around the pots, with every team bringing their own flavours, secret recipes and competitive spirit.

Congratulations to our winners and a huge thank you to everyone who took part, came out to support and brought the gees!

Because at BLU, heritage isn’t just something we celebrate. It’s something we share, embrace and celebrate together. 💙🇿🇦

Today, we swapped the boardroom for the bike and took on the challenge together.

The CEO Cycle Challenge gave us the perfect reason to get moving, but what made today special was the people - colleagues cheering each other on, pushing through the tough bits, sharing a few laughs and crossing the finish line together.

Because at BLU, Unlimited Potential isn’t just something we say, it’s something we see in our people every day. And today, they showed us just how far a little teamwork, determination and a whole lot of TeamBlu spirit can take you. 💙

Our combined birthday breakfast was the perfect excuse to bring our July and August birthday crew together for a morning of good food, plenty of laughs, and even better company. From our bold Leos to our thoughtful Cancers and Virgos, there was no shortage of personality around the table! 💙

At BLU, we believe that meaningful impact starts with showing up for our communities.

Through the Trust Blu Foundation, we were proud to donate blankets to WMACA Kidz Clinics in Alexandra and Boksburg, helping provide comfort and warmth to children receiving specialist care and trauma support.

We're grateful to partner with organisations like WMACA, whose unwavering commitment to protecting vulnerable children inspires us every day. Together, we're creating hope, restoring dignity, and making a lasting difference. 💙

Some of the most meaningful moments don’t happen in boardrooms. They happen around a table, united by a shared purpose.

For the upcoming Mandela Day, we partnered with Community Hours to spend our 67 minutes making a difference.

We kicked off with a boxing aerobics icebreaker, a fitting tribute to Nelson Mandela, whose love for boxing taught him discipline, resilience, and respect. The session filled the room with energy, laughter, and connection before we rolled up our sleeves to make sandwiches for those in need.

With every sandwich prepared, we were reminded that kindness doesn’t have to be complicated. Small acts, multiplied by many hands, have the power to create lasting impact.

A heartfelt thank you to Community Hours and every member of TeamBlu who gave their time, energy, and heart. Together, we proved that when people come together with purpose, even 67 minutes can make a world of difference. 💙
