Scadco AI Innovation Team at North-West University | Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Workshop
On Thursday, 19 March 2026, the Scadco AI Innovation Team had the privilege of spending an inspiring and highly productive day at North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus), working with staff from various faculties on the practical use of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat.
The session kicked off at 10:00 AM with an introduction to signing into Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat via the Microsoft Edge browser, setting a strong foundation for the day. Faculties then explored how to become more productive using Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, with a strong emphasis on the safe, responsible, and ethical use of AI within an academic environment.
The highlight of the day was an in-depth, hands-on dive into Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent creation, which formed the core of the workshop. Participants learned the fundamentals, boundaries, and best practices for creating Copilot Agents tailored to their daily work requirements. By the end of the session, North-West University staff had successfully built their first working Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent, ready to be used in their everyday tasks.
